we stayed here twice during an extended bicycling tour of corsica. although the published time for checking in was limited, both times we were able to get into our room early, which was very nice considering we were on a bicycle. the staff was welcoming. our room was very clean, with a nice bed, terrace, drying rack for our laundry, hair dryer, TV, and AC. the breakfast was very good, with croissants, eggs for cooking in the shell, yogurt, fruit, juice, meats, cheese, and coffee. the pool looked very nice, but we did not use it. we would definitely stay here again if we were to return to corsica.

We have booked a room for 4 persons. We got a family room in the building next to the hotel. The room was awful and had a terrible smell. We complained about the room the same night we came. Girl in reception was sorry but she couldn’t give us another room before the next day. The day after the wanted to give us a another room in the same building. No thanks then we would rather check out than stay than smell. That we could do but we have to pay for all 3 days even we only stayed 1 night. After long talk, we ended up with two rooms in the main building. Girls in reception were nice and tried to help. The manager wouldn’t come to the frontdesk. If you book here make sure not to get a room in the building next to the hotel. It smells and it’s a very sad and boring view to the backyard. See photo

You are absolutely right, we do not put them on sale on the sites but we show them directly to passing customers and you know what? They are very very happy with their stay in a clean, fresh, comfortable and spacious room. Best regards

We spent 9 hours just to sleep. Unfortunately we were in the depandance of the hotel (an old coiffeur shop!!!). Its charateristic was the strong moldy smell; I do not know how it is permeted to guess people in this sad place. Price incredibile high.

Dear guests, we are sorry that this room which suffered from a water leak could not be reclaimed before your arrival, is not agreed and sincerely we are sorry. Now that the water leak from this room has been repaired and the smell of mold is gone, this room is in great demand, because it is really very comfortable.

A nice family run three-star hotel located in the small town between Porto-Vecchio and Bastia. We stayed here for one night in room #206. For one night it was quite ok. Ivan at the reception was exceptionally friendly and polite, additionally he speaks very good English. The dinner was really a nice surprise. We ordered king shrimps and cannelloni. The food was perfect and we paid less than in most of the other places on the island. Dinner for two with beer cost us 40 euro. The atmosphere in the inner courtyard is relaxing and homely, so coming here just for lunch or dinner is also a smart thing to do. Oh, and the breakfast was also unexpectedly great for a three-star hotel. There is a public parking in front of the hotel, but it is closed on market days and on other occasions. If it is closed, ask the staff, where it is possible and safe to leave the car. All in all, 100 euro per night for B&B was a decent price, although the room was plain and somehow dull. The bathroom was clean, however the shelves in the wardrobe were very dusty. There is also a lot of noise and light from the street, so we slept with windows shut and blinds down.

We staid 2 nights at hotel Casa di Maria Cicilia at the end of August '16. It was great to start our trip in Ghisonaccia. It is close by the beach and great to travel to the south of the island. Our host in casa si Maria Cicilia was very helpful as it was our first time in Corsica. We arrived in the afternoon an the owner told us to do a walk along the beach to Etang D'urbino, very nice walk, very nice view. The second day we went from Ghisonaccia to Bonifacio and Ponte- Vecchio. The last day we planed to do some hiking and the owner advised us to do the col de verde - a great hike where there where no tourists. In the evening and the mornings it's easy to walk to the bars and restaurants around the hotel - it's only a 2' walk. The hotel is clean, calm and peaceful. Great and helpful host.

The hotel is located in the city centre. The room was not so large, but comfortable with a small fridge. Breakfast was good, but it was great that it was possible to have a breakfast on the nice terrace. The staff was very polite.

Small family run hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Not a great deal to do in the small town. Slightly odd that the place is shut (access available for existing residents) from 1230-1430 daily, and that the hotel bar closes at 2200. Breakfast is basic but adequate for a short stay. Rooms are very clean and well proportioned with decent black out blinds. Rooms at the front suffer a little from road noise.

Dear customer, we thank you for your comment, but we think that a small continental breakfast at will, consisting of: hot beverage (coffee, cappuccino, chocolate, cappuccino, and various teas), soft drinks, 2 kinds (pure orange juice and apple), pastries (chocolate croissant, croissant, brioche), roll and slice with available toaster, toast, applesauce, fruit cocktail, fresh seasonal fruit (3 kinds) yaourths plain or fruit, boiled eggs, fresh eggs with cooking machine eggs (poached or calf), ham, cheese, butter, Corsican preserves, four kinds, Nutella, seems to us to be lightweight. Thank you for your visit to our hotel and hoping to have the pleasure of seeing you.

Stayed 1 night passing through the area on a trip through Corsica, overall enjoyed it and would recommend. The hotel rooms are nothing special and fairly standard but clean and functional. The price was good and the location is nice, there are plenty of very cool bars and restaurants just a 5 minute walk away in the little downtown area. An average hotel but for the price and the service, a very good value.

We went here on honeymoon. great place for striking out to see Corsica. Our room was as good if not better than photographed, very clean, very fresh, shower, A/C etc. all worked well and intuitively. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We tried the Corsican evening menu which although not cheap was extremely nice. Strongly recommend trying the local dessert wine and myrtle liquour. Ghisonnacia itself is very pleasant with good amenities (supermarket, market once a week in the square opposite the hotel, tourism office, pharmacy, plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars etc.) ~5 minutes drive to the nearest beach. We also took the opportunity to explore the island. The drive from Ghisonnacia to Corte via Ghisoni is truly spectacular and Corte is a lovely place to visit. We travelled up to Calvi to attend the Polyphonic music festival (Corisican polyphonic singing is something very special, hear some if you get the chance). We climbed Sant Petrone, went for a dip in the Med. near Solenzara, ate on a fresh water lagoon... frankly Corisica is an excellent place to visit and this was a great base to see it from!

We've not been to Corsica before so didn't know what to expect. It took us about an hour to get here from the airport and it was pretty easy to find. We arrived on a Sunday and the reception was closed for a couple of hours which wasn't a big deal as we went for a drink to wait. The receptionist was nice and friendly - yes, she didn't speak brilliant English but it was better than my French and we are in France after all! The room is nice and clean. We have two bedrooms and a balcony looking out on the front. Both rooms have tv's but as we are on holiday that's not much of a necessity. There is no bath but we always have showers anyway. Breakfast is continental as you would expect - again, we are in France! - but there's plenty of it. The beach near here is beautiful with soft white sand and turquoise water plus not at all busy. So, all in all it's not The Savoy but is perfectly adequate.
