Ours was a last minute booking (should have been going to Cornwall - but the weather forecast put us off so we headed south for the sun!). Our arrival at reception for Port Minervois - Les Hauts du Lac was as everyone else has described, somewhat overwhelming in the amount of rules, regulations, financial demands, bits of paper, requests for...

Last year we went to Port Minervois. It was a family holiday. Negative: The reception and the personnel were not professional or nice. We were under the impression that we were not very welcome (but our money was). So both the first impression and last impression was bad. However the rest of our 2 week holiday was great. The house...

Port Minervois - Les Hauts du Lac These are twin ‘gated’ sets of holiday accommodation situated just outside Homps on the Canal du Midi seems quite large – over 200 apartments . Lets deal with the criticisms first. My experience is that a deposit and the expectation to clean is quite normal – at least it was in Sicily last...

My partner and I get away 3 or 4 times a year, for my birthday week he booked us into Port Minervois as it it close to several places of interest we have planned to visit for a few years. After an eight and a half hour drive we arrived full of hope. This hope was soon dashed. You have...

To stay at Port Minervois is a peculiar experience indeed. I would not go back and I would not recommend staying here. Reading the provided manual is a bag of contradictions. On the first page it states that you have arrived in a place of total relaxation and freedom. When you turn the page however you find the four page...

lovely setting, very secure complex, nice surroundings. Ideal for a visit during off peak season, great value for money for a couple wanting peace and quiet. Negative - pillows of no substance (even when you have 2 each) and hard mattresses. A roll of toilet paper should be provided and included in the price of the room.

Spent a couple of nights here, three of us in a two bedroomed house. On the plus side, the complex is new, the houses look pretty from the outside, and we had plenty of space for the three of us, a kitchen and a terrace with a table and chairs to sit on outside, as well as some grass. The...

We've booked this accommodation through the travel agency. We have been travelling with the family of two young kinds. We have been staying there two weeks in the two room house. I've done quite some research upfront but as usual in the end the devil sleeps in details. On the arrival we had very positive experience. The ladies at the...

We stayed in a 4 bedroomed villa with private pool for one week in August. Our group consisted of two adults, two 16 year olds and a 10 year old. The ground floor of the villa had a kitchenette and a living/dining area, two bedrooms (one double and one twin) and a family bathroom. The bedrooms and bathroom could be...
