The Harbour in Gorleston-on-Sea near Great Yarmouth is just a short level walk from the beautiful Gorleston beach. Our guest lounge looks out over boats coming in and out of the harbour and rooms to the front have a waterfront harbour view. Superbly situated for the Broads, Norfolk and Suffolk coastline, with all the attractions of Great Yarmouth nearby, Gorleston-on-Sea is an unspoilt hidden gem, ideal for families, couples, and those wanting a beautiful beach on your doorstep, plenty to do nearby but just that bit quieter and more relaxed. The Harbour has the added interest of boats chugging past the window. We have a mixture of rooms consisting of doubles and family rooms, all with tea/coffee making facilities with a newly refurbished guest lounge area with guest balcony.

Even better room than before it has a harbour view and out to sea. Yet again the room very clean and tidy with a lovely feel to it. Hosts were as nice and helpful as ever and breakfasts freshly cooked and tasty. Would recommend this small hotel/B&B for anyone and yes we will go back again for another short stay.

Having managed to get a booking for the sea view balcony room I couldn’t speak highly enough of this guest house and it’s so accommodating hosts Vince and Aura were really helpful, especially as I arrived late on the first evening. The accommodation was clean, well equipped and perfectly located for my weekend meeting friends. I’m looking forward to returning next year

Lovely guest house. Easy to find, parking was easy to do even though there is no official car park.
Was greeted on arrival by Vince and Aura who made us feel welcome. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. The guest house is across the road from a beautiful beach.
We got back from a day out to find two lovely home made cup cakes waiting for us which was a great personal touch. Unfortunately due to renovations we didn’t have the breakfast or use the bar but I’m sure it will look lovely after. Great stay will definitely return.

We turned up 3 adults + dog to be told that the property we had booked was no longer available.
So we started ringing around etc for lodgings, without any luck.
Just about to make the journey back home when I seen the harbour B &. B.
I explained what had happened to us & he said we could stay there, although B&B was not doing business till August with the covidvirus.
I would just like to say how grateful we were & thanks to the lovely owner he was star..

We stay here every time we visit Gorleston now. Vince and Aura are so warm and welcoming. Customer service that’s second to none. Comfortable and clean. Great value for money. Feels like home away from home. Cannot recommend this lovely hotel enough.

Response from Harbour Hotel, Owner at The Harbour

Thank you so much Katie. In times when we have guests that are less than appreciative of our place when we've worked so hard to try and make it the best we can, your feedback keeps us going, when we might have given up. You are such a nice person, thank you doesn't really cut it. You will always be welcomed here !!

It was our first stay at The Harbour Hotel, and we couldn't have picked a better hotel to stay in! From the first moment we arrived we couldn't have been made more welcome by Aura, and then the following day by Vince. Such a lovely couple that made our stay more enjoyable than we thought it was going to be. A comfortable, clean and pleasant hotel, which was made even better by the view of the harbour from our room. It was even more interesting listening to Vince and Aura explain the history of the hotel and Gorleston-on-Sea. We would definitely be returning in the future.
Thank-you,
Lesley and Gary

This was our 4th year staying at the Harbour. We enjoyed it as much as usual and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Our 4 children are always made to feel very welcome.
Vince and aura are such lovely hosts and constantly check if everything is ok for us ( which it always is) We always feel relaxed staying here.
It's in such a lovely location 2 minutes walk from from Gorleston's beautiful beach ideal for a traditional family holiday
Thankyou

You really can't go wrong here. The owners go above and beyond the call of duty to make your stay as relaxing as possible. Very friendly and homely. We had a family room which was large, very clean and with all the mod cons you would normally need. The beds were very comfortable, (I've never slept so well away from home), and the tasty breakfast is plentiful. What more could you want. Even the soft sandy beach is less than a five minute walk away.
Excellent value and I would have no hesitation staying again or recommending the Harbour Hotel to family and friends. If you are holidaying or visiting this area of Norfolk and looking for accommodation I would suggest you give the Harbour Hotel a try first.

Hi, our Harbour view room is a small family ensuite room, i.e. a double bed and a single bed - as a twin room it is £60 per night including breakfast. Outside August we do a multiple night discount, but the bank holiday weekend is a minimum 3 night stay as it is the busiest weekend of the year! Just give us a call if you want to book it - we do require a one night deposit. Many thanks, Vince & Aura
Hi, all our beds are standard doubles & singles at present (4ft 6 double & 3ft single). The family rooms are one double bed and one single bed, so best suited to small families, but a pull out bed or cot can be added. Hope this helps ! :-)
