Everything about our stay at Pilgrims was perfect. The rooms are beautiful, high ceilings with wooden beams and a beautful modern bathroom, and everything has been thought of right down to your own cafetierre. The food in the restaurant was outstanding, proper cider available for fans like me too. The full English breakfast was genuinely the best I've ever eaten...

On their menu, they say that they might serve the best Sunday Lunch. And I think they are correct. It was a classic Sunday roast and it was as good as it gets.Great local beef and lamb. Lots of vegetables. Proper puddings. A very good wine list. Worth a visit if you are not staying there. I guess a reservation...

Owners are lovely, accommodation is stylish and up to date on ground floor. Food is first class with details of what allergens are included in the food - changes monthly - highly recommend to everyone

My wife and i stayed here for just one night. The room and faciiities were first class - a very comfortable bed and very good, spacious bathroom. There are only five bedrooms and we found it very quiet and peaceful (they do not allow children). Breakfast was first class. We had dinner there and I have reviewed this seperately.

On arriving at the Pilgrims, we were met by the owner, who could not have been more welcoming. My colleague and I were looking for somewhere close to where we were working and with a bit of character, which we found in abundance. There are not many rooms, but what they had were well fitted out and functional, with comfy...

Myself and my fiancé stayed here whilst scoping out accommodation for our wedding . We are getting married in Somerset and wanted to find some venues our guests could stay. Well , what can I say? The warmest welcome , the most beautiful of rooms and the food and wine was fantastic . Credit where credit is due , the...

We went to the Pilgrims for our wedding anniversary and a week later are back again having dinner with friends. The food is delicious and I always have the prawns! Followed by fish as I think their fish dishes are superb. Yesterday (as I had been the week before) I had the lamb which was cooked just right. Somehow we...

We have stayed here probably half a dozen times and what brings us back year after year is its such a delightful place to stay. Sally and Jules run a very fine establishment virtually single handed. The 5 rooms in a converted skittle alley are beautifully and thoughtfully furnished with flair and imagination. Excellent bathroom with deep soaking bath and...

If you are in need of a quiet break with outstanding food this is the place to be. All the rooms are part of a converted barn and are eloquently furnished with beautiful bathroom facilities such as a walk in shower. The rooms have all the finishing touches of any 5* hotel including bath robes and tea/coffee facilities etc.... The...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Pilgrims is a 4 star Restaurant with Rooms and holds 2 AA Rosettes. It's as relaxed as a country pub but the food is better than many a city restaurant - not least because all the ingredients come from 'just over the brow of the hill.' And the rooms are simply stunning, Egyptian cotton, king size beds, roll top baths and walk-in showers. The Pilgrims - the best of Somerset on a plate. ... more   less
