Very great location in Asakusa, near the Kaminarimon, Orange Street, supermarket, and station (all 3 station that surrounding Asakusa with distance range from 450-600 meter). There are 2 buildings of Asakusa Central Hotel, the first one is the more grand building or the front one, and the second is in the back alley and has no access for baby stroller...

Well located near the metro and to Sensoji. It is clean and has all the basics. If you just need a place to stay and get a good price this hotel is fine. It's not a ryokan and it's not a grand hotel. What else can I say?!?!

After many years of walking past this hotel while visiting Asakusa, I decided to try booking a room here. The staff provided excellent service, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the women's only section of the annex is a great option to have. Quite honestly I'd skip the breakfast option, but everything else about the hotel has been superb....

Very good value for money, close to the subway. Although not the most modern but very clean and a real bed, not a futon on the floor we were a family facing . later on. Good breakfast buffet next door and plenty of restaurants down the street. Had a personal, wonderful experience of japanese politeness and help getting there from the...

I visited this old and creepy Hotel & restaurant ,but this location only advantage accommodation do not worth the money they are charging. Since there are many other hotels in the near-by neighborhood this central location advantage is no longer valid.

This hotel is good for business, as well as Tourists. I had to checkin one day late as I missed my flight from India and the hotel agreed to change the reservation dates without any penalty. The service is good and it offers very authentic Japanese breakfast which was included in the room price. It has a convenience store on...

If it's not all about location I'd give this hotel zero star. The location is just perfect. Direct train ti Narita airport. Prepare for a good stairs walk to the train in Asakusa station. there is no escalator or elevator just a long hallway with multiple stair cases up and down. But it's a non-stop train to and from Narita...

The Asakusa area of Tokyo is worth seeing and the location of this hotel is perfect for exploring the area. While the hotel is comfortable, it is quite dated. The 1980's left this one behind. It was clean and the staff was nice but if it were not for the location, this one would leave us wondering what the heck...

I stayed here on my own for 2 nights before joining a tour and the welcome I received from the staff was outstanding. All the reception staff spoke good English and nothing was too much trouble. A perfect location for all sightseeing, the Senso-ji temple and the Metro station are 5 minutes walk away. Rooms are clean and a decent...

The hotel is right smack in the middle of Asakusa. You can get lost in the side streets leading to the temple but it's worth the adventure. The restaurants are all over. Name every Japanese food craving, you got it. The hotel itself is not so bad. Decided to book a Ladies-only room & they do take care and ensure...

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
