This is a budget hotel, but is quite comfortable, clean enough (we were in a smoking room), and a good location for getting around Tokyo. Take the Sobu line to-from Akihabara on the green circle line to Asakusabashi which is two blocks from the hotel.

Room was really nice with all the basics, good view of local area and great air conditioning. Excellent transport links into central Tokyo and only 2 mins walk from the nearest station - very good hotel for the price.

I had my wireless internet device delivered to this hotel and that was given to me at check in. Once it was raining in the morning, the staff was very kind to lend us an umbrella. The hotel is strategically located just a few minutes walk from Asakusabashi Station, very convenient if to explore the town as the price was not extremely expensive. (1 night without breakfast 11000yen). The room is neat and clean too with standard small Tokyo room size. I was quite pleased with the room condition and service as well. If you would...

Good location, just 3 minutes on foot from JR station Asakusabashi, is next to Akihabara. Also there is a convenience store near this hotel. Reasonable price, comfortable room, is not such a small as Japanese standard room, cleaner, so totally very good! Except little poor breakfast.

Only few minutes walk from Asakusabashi station. Price is good. The room is spacey for Tokyo standard. Great location, near to many attractions: Asakusa, Ryogoku & Akihabara. There are also many great restaurant nearby too because it's near to some office buildings: ramen, yakitori, steak, gyoza.. You name it... Highly recommended.

I stayed at the hotel for 6 days. The hotel is off the main street, about a 3 minute walk from Asakusabashi station. The first floor contains a small waiting area, 2 public computers, and a room with vending machines, an ice machine, microwave, and coin-operated washers/dryers. The front desk staff are very friendly and were very helpful when I...

Convenient and quiet location, on a side street 3 minutes walk from Asakusabashi station on Japan Rail's Chuo Line. ( The JR Narita Express ticket covers the journey in from the airport ). Clean, efficient and friendly, as can always be expected in Japan. Western or Japanese breakfast included, restaurant on site, many little neighbourhood bars, coffee shops and other...

This business hotel is quite new, the rooms are clean and have a modern feel to them (and small - but that is typical for this category of hotel in Japan). The price was very competitive. Front desk staff was great, very helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is ok, but not great. The hotel is very close...

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
