A perfectly acceptable business hotel in a good location (5 mins from Nishi-Shinjuku metro station and 10 mins from JR Shinjuku Station - which is an excellent hub for exploring Tokyo). Room was small but that's normal for this sort of hotel in Tokyo. It was clean and well appointed. LAN internet in the room, although no sign of a...

Yes a lot of business people do use this hotel but so do a lot of us travellers like us and we were very happy with the service we received. Yes the rooms are small by western standards but they are bigger than a lot of Japanese hotels. It is located close to Shinjuku station and from there most sites...

I selected this hotel because of the too many positive Tripadvisor reviews but I was not happy with it. The rooms are really small, and I am referring to japan standards. The hotel is quite impersonal and obviously business oriented, nothing terrific. What really didn't make me happy was the rate, too high for the room I had. I probably...

After travelling through "country" Japan ,this was our base, for 5 days, whilst in the Tokyo area .When we first arrived we thought it as just another business hotel but the more we stayed the more we came to realise that this hotel was great value in a good location. Ninshi Shinjuku metro station is directly across the road which...

This hotel is on a busy thoroughfare, but as the double glazing is excellent you can't hear a thing. It was not that well located though and was a walk from hotels and bars in the evening. The room was very small even for Tokyo standards, but clean and comfortable (we were always going to sleep well after a long...

This little gem is about a 5 minute walk from central Shinjuku and around the corner from the Hilton from which you can catch the air bus. There is a train station access literally across the road. Although it doesn't look like much from the outside when you walk in the lobby is beautifully decorated and the staff are very...

While our coach transfer didnt take us directly to this hotel, it dropped us at the Hilton which was just across the road. Staff were very friendly and helpful with a smooth check-in. The standard room was small, but normal for Japanese hotels with the 'boat' style bathrooms. Overall the room and hotel was nice and clean, simple and did...

This hotel is right next to the Tokyo Metro. My friends and I took all their triple rooms and it was surprisingly spacious. The shower and the sink are in two different rooms so basically it helped speed up the washroom process for us. Service was excellent like all of Japan. Shinjuku JR station is about a 10 minute walk....

The hotel was located near a subway station – walkable distance. The room was not so big but quite comfy. Don’t worry about western food, they serve it. The staff was friendly and well english speaking. There’s no problem staying here. Highly recommend.

This hotel is located a short distance from the Shinkuku Station. It is close to nightlife, and restaurants are close by. The staff spoke English and were very helpful during the stay.

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
