We have stayed at the Hyatt Regency Shinjuku twice now as a family (in two rooms) and we cannot say enough good about it. The hotel is in a wonderful location, the staff simply cannot do enough to make you feel welcome and the rooms are very comfortable. The hotel also has a subway station beneath it, a 7-11 also...

Stayed here on 3 occasions for a business trip, it is less expensive than many of the other foreign hotels but has nice, clean rooms, good restaurants in the lobby and an OK gym. The train station is about a 10 minute walk away. My room included breakfast and one day I tried the western restaurant, the other the Japanese...

This is a very beautiful and immaculate hotel. Unfortunately though, it is somewhat isolated in location. You cannot walk out the doors and down the street looking for a nice cafe, a meal or some shopping. There is nothing at all in the vicinity of the hotel (although there is a 7/11 convenience store beneath the hotel). The only option...

It was my first stay at Hyatt Regency Tokyo and I'll have to say that the room condition and service are better than some Grand Hyatt. When booking, I was a little iffy because of the location which was about 15 min. walk from Shinjuku station. However, the free shuttle bus was really convenient to get to and from Shinjuku...

Stayed 2 nights over Christmas break. Overall felt the hotel was great. Staff was great, and the hotel is well situated with a number of restaurants on-site. We enjoyed the café downstairs for breakfast but do think the holiday buffet on offer in the evenings was very overpriced based on the quality of food display (approx. $80). The rooms were...

8 night stay, from the start service was excellent, we got there at 11am and got into our rooms at 1pm. We got the room with 1x Queen room 28 square meter. 1 thing you gotta look at when booking rooms in Tokyo I've learned is check out the size of the room first. I found the room to be...

The Hyatt was our first stop on our 2016 family holiday and overall we had a great stay. The Hotel is only a 10min walk from Shunjiku station and a 3 min walk to the underground metro.Whilst the rooms may need some renovating they are clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful from the moment we walked in to...

Stayed here for 03 nights. Rooms good with direct view to mount Fuji, not so big, but furnishing was a bit outdated. Shower room was small, but I guess it was common in Tokyo. Breakfast was very limited in choice. I thought they provide breakfast for two persons, so I ask my friend who visited me in the morning to...

The room size is smaller than what I had in Hyatt in other countries, but it's understandable since this one is located in Tokyo. The location is bit far from MRT station but they have the bus to the station. Overall my experience is good, especially when I'm seeing mountain Fuji from the club!!

We stayed here for two nights whilst in toyko. The hotel was perfectly fine the room was very clean and the blinds meant the room was very dark at night which helped with the jet lag. We had a club room and found the club lounge to be really good. Breakfast finishes promptly so make sure you get there in...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
