If you looking for a smaller intimate hotel then this is not it. As per previous reviews this hotel has loads of group tours staying here so there are often loads of suitcases and guests in the lobby. If you want a hotel that has spacious, clean modern rooms, with staff that are efficient and situated near Shinjuku station then...

Stayed here before the Tokyo Marathon which made my experience 0% hassle, as the starting line is just across the street at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (which by the way is a great place to check out for free to view the skyline of Tokyo by day or night!) Hotel staff is very kind and helpful, and transportation is...

After looking at the hotel website, I thought it was going to me more than it actually was. The best service is from the doorman... from there it goes down hill pretty quickly. There are literally dozens of chairs lined up in the reservation lobby for people to sit in while waiting to get registered into the hotel. (Advise to...

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences during your recent stay with us. We stayed 4 nights for a group of 14 pax. What I liked about this was the location, it's on the "quieter" side of shinjuku, but easily accessible on street level or through the series of connected walkways. Room size was ok and views on the higher floors are good. The landlord is that it is opposite the metropolitan government...

Myself and 3 friends stayed at this hotel on our first ever visit to Japan. I really think we struck it lucky with staying here, the location is the best thing about this behemoth of a hotel, it was absolutely perfect, it was almost like living on top of Shinjuku but without the noise of the trains! The views we...

Keio Plaza was a positive experience. Very friendly staff, good restaurants and spacy lobby areas. The scenery is huge from the high-up rooms and the top floor restaurants. The room was cosy and neat. Good pillows. The location is very good in the middle of Shinjuku ja very close to the metro and Shijuku railway station. A lot of small...

the second time stay. Very convenient location, close to Shinjuku station west exit, though it would be better if there were courtesy bus service to the station. Convenient to Nishi-shinjuku area restaurants most of which are very reasonable. Breakfast buffet in the hotel is good. The hotel is nearly 50yrs old, but well refurbished. Good room service and house keeping.

Many good hotels in Tokyo but the Keio has been my " home away from home" for many years. The staff is great and the restaurants and bars are superior. Shinjuku is a bustling place and the hotel is smack in the middle. Shinjuku train station is within walking distance.

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
