Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.

The hotel is pretty standard in terms of your regular budget hotels in Tokyo hence, a pretty small lobby (need to take a few steps up from the main door to reception), basic amenities and room sizes. We booked two double rooms and one twin-single room since there were 7 of us.

The Tokyo Plaza Hotel is a great little place. We had three in the room and really didn’t have any major issues with space. The Hotel offers breakfast at 500 yen. Great place to have breakfast until you get your bearings. The best part of the Hotel is it’s location, 45 minutes

Does anybody know if there is a safe located in the rooms of this hotel?
No safe box is provided in the rooms. However, I believe there is a safe at the receptionist where they will help keep your important documents.

The family room comes with 2 beds. For 4 Asians sharing the 2 beds is manageable although tight. Good if the 4 persons include children. WiFi is free. Location is excellent. This is one of the few hotels that offers a 4 person room at a decent price.
