We spent 4 nights at the Citadines Shinjuku and it was a good choice. While it is a bit of a hike to Shinjuku Station itself it was close to most of the shopping areas which is easily accessible by bus or about a 10-15 minute walk. Having a 19 month old toddler we were grateful to have the convenience...

We spent one week in the hotel. The room good, the staff really kind. They help you a lot. We sent our luggage to Kyoto, There is a small kitchen and a small gym on the grand floor. There two small supermarkets so near (7 Eleven and Family Markt). The subway is 5-10 minutes walking.

The hotel is clean and the room spacious, the staff is friendly, and the service like wifi and laundry worked very well. The cleaning is perfect, and the bed very comfortable. Is a little bit far from the metro (10 min.) and from central Shinjuku station, but there are many little and good restautants and many shops in the neighborhood....

The hotel is well located and close to some nice local restaurant where to have cheap and typical food. The rooms was very big for a Japanese tandard with kitchen included. The staff was very kind and gave me some good suggestion.

The hotel has big, modern and clean rooms (with living room and kitchen); the receptionist and the housekeepers are very kind and always ready to help you. Only the position is not perfect: 20 minutes away by walk from the JR Shinjuku station and 10 from the metro.

The hotel is situated in Shinjuku, 10 min walk from the Marounochi metro line, but a bit far from the JR station; so if you wanna use only the JR it could be a problem with wide luggage. The staff is very kind: my wife was ill for 2 days and they help me a lot. The rooms are wide,...

Spacious rooms, comfortable beds. The hotel's location is far from metro. Atmosphere in the hotel is ... We just did not like it . The air was not fresh, stains on the carpet, worn our elevator. We used to stay at much nicer hotels in Japan, so this one was a disappointment. But overall it's a good hotel , but...

Rooms: For a Japanese hotel, the rooms here are very spacious. The hotel is still quite nice since it is only about 6 years old. The bathroom is nice and clean, the bed is comfortable, the carpet is clean. My only problems with Citidines is that I stayed here when they first opened several years ago and the TV unit...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
