Stayed here with 2 mates from the 18th to the 20th of Jan 2017. Was looking for a cheap place to sleep cause we'll be outdoors all the times, so wasn't expecting much from this hotel. But surprisingly it was good, booked a triple room but got upgraded to a bigger room, i guess the family room on the 4th...

We don't spend a lot of time in any hotel room we stay in so I'm not particularly picky. What's crucial is a hotel's location, and this one's just right. Just a couple of minutes' walk to a JR station and cheap but good restaurants, Empire Hotel is everything you need for an adventure in Tokyo. It's clean and has...

we have stayed in this majestic hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is superb the rooms were large the service is perfect so many restaurants and possibilities. There is always somebody to assist you and a huge verity of restaurants and food. The only problem was on Sunday morning to enter the breakfast buffet as the queue is too long...

I would like to second my friend Marie N who wrote a review also for this hotel - we stayed here for 10 nights at the end of September. What we found great: - Good Value more money - Great transport links its 2 minutes from a JR Yamote line station and a 15 walk from Shinjuku station. - There...

Beautiful hotel in a great setting. Only stopped in for afternoon tea and would highly recommend staying there. Excellent level of service and very handy location for getting around the city. Close to open spaces.

I've read so much comments before I get here. They're mostly said that this hotel is quite dirty, and too small toilet. But here I come with clean room, and they made up room as I requested. Everything goes well, but just the tiny toilet. Anyway, I think this hotel is acceptable. Good price, good service.

Whilst I agree with other reviewers that this hotel is a little run down I felt that it was extremely good value for the price that we payed. The hotel's location is great, it's a 2 minute walk from a JR station and about 15 minutes from Shinjuku station which is really handy if you want to visit not only...

Pros: Very convenient location; very affordable rates; adequate customer service; the room was acceptably clean; mini fridge in room; air conditioner worked. Free Wifi. Cons: The hotel is run down. The room was small and cramped (triple room 3 adults). Noise from other rooms is bothersome. Wifi may not be secure as each floor's router is physically accessible to anyone...

My wife n I was here just for 1 night, before we head to Tendo next morning. This hotel near to Shin-Okubo station, walking distance. Facilities here quite okay. Enough to charge your devices, freshen up your body for your next journey. Shin-Okuno station is where you can get Muslim Halal food nearby.

We stayed on the fifth floor in the corner room and had a cool corner balcony. The room was very basic, only had 2 power outlets, so we had to unplug the tv to charge our electronic devices. Room was very small, it had AC, small fridge, TV and a desk. Not much desk space. Found it pretty weird that...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
