We wanted to experience a capsule hotel, so we stayed 1 night. Service: Our first impression was excellent, because I had reserved our capsules for the wrong night, but the hotel staff quickly assured us they would accommodate us and not charge us an additional night. THANK YOU! Room & facilities: The capsules were pretty clean. I only found 2...

I went here with friends because I'd heard about the famed capsule hotels. It was what I expected and the staff were very good and the facility as expected. Clean bathrooms, clean and neat capsules and wifi. This hotel was within short walks of Shinjuku's busy and exciting night life that has some great eating places. Getting your sleeping and...

I had stayed here previously a couple of years ago and was pretty impressed, seeing it had good recent reviews, I decided to stay again. However, I don't think I will return again. The good: -pretty clean -great bathroom with hot and cold pools, open 24hrs. -great lounge room (2 years ago, didn't check it out this visit). The bad:...

It was a different experience and that's the reason why I picked this hotel. I stayed here at the end of my trip in Japan and after spending a few nights in a hostel, I opted for the capsule hotel before flying home. The hotel was clean, very clean with awesome bathroom facilities on the women's only floor. The shampoos...

I wanted to try a capsule hotel even just for a night in Japan. I would say that it was a pleasant stay. It does not feel constricted as I imagined it would be. The bedding is clean, there are outlets inside to charge gadgets and there is a TV. Wi-Fi is free ad fast, front desk speaks English. There...

Stayed one night at the capsule purely for the experience. I stayed on the women's floor and my boyfriend on the men's. Location is bang in the middle of Shinjuku but close to the red light district. Easy to find but the signs aren't the biggest so we walked past twice. You can only stay in your "room" between 4pm-10am...

Straight forward check in. Standard no shoes once you enter. Effective no key outside hotel policy (they give you a card if you go out of the hotel). Plenty of Luggage storage available compared with one night stay places I've tried (I usually leave large suitcase in lockers at stations as safety). Female floor on the 8th floor... Very secure...

I always wanted to try a capsule hotel so this was my chance. I was kind of afraid before I got there but once I arrived staff was very friendly and explained all rules quick and simple. Basically no shoes, check out at 10, no later, don't be noisy and respect your neighbor. I stayed in the "Only women" side....

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
