The staff were superb and very helpful and service more akin to a more expensive hotel with a concierge. The rooms were a very good size for Tokyo and the bathroom a lot bigger than the average for the area. The room furniture and style was dated, but could be forgiven. The pillows were odd but replaced when requested. Daily...

Whilst not ones first trip to Tokyo, however having been there previously only for business meetings this was in a way ones first holiday there. Given that one would be out and about most of the day returning in the wee hours only to sleep we booked ourselves in for a 3 night stay here in September. One can easily...

Just a few minutes from the East Exit of Shinjuku Station. Great location for a first-timer in Tokyo. We enjoyed our walk to and from the station. The staff were all accommodating. The size of the room is so tiny but comfy and it has a large bathroom with all the needed toiletries.

It is in the heart of shinjukus red light area. But it wasn't a problem at all. The room and the bed however was really tiny. However we only stayes for like 2 nights so we didnt mind. It is super close to shinjuku station about 5 to 7 minutes walk. It was an over all average experience.

Located near the heart of Shinjuku, the hotel is near the major department stores and eateries. If you fancy the all-night dining and entertainment, this is the place to be. Service is good and at the executive floor you have access to a free vending machine for hot and cold drinks, and massage chairs. The room is fairly quiet and...

10 min from Shinjuku Station. The facade is like a budget hotel as it is not located at ground level. Take a small lift to the hotel reception which is situated on the 1st floor. Next to 24 hour convenient store Lawson. 7 Eleven is just a few shops away. Good location for shoppers. Within walking distance to departmental stores....

This is your standard size Japanese room, so it's small. That's a given. It has a nice deep tub for those that like their baths and importantly, it's clean. Location is good, central and not that difficult to find. The lift system can be slightly annoying as one is for the lobby and outside and then you have to use...

The staff was very helpful. They kept my luggage for 2 days while I travelled to Mt Fuji. Upon check-out I lost my USB. They followed up on it and managed to find it and had it mailed back to me. Excellent service.

This is hotel is in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of Kabukicho. The rooms are relatively big to Tokyo, the price was very good, and we even got upgraded to a high floor. There is a self service laundromat in the hotel (which is really important in Tokyo!) and the back-facing we room we got was very...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
