It has a good location but an old hotel. Price is cheap compared to well known brands but you can find similar prices in other Tokyo Hotels. The rooms that face the street can be noisy. There are many restaurants and cafes around and Ebisu train station is just 3 minutes by walk.

Hotel Excellent is located 50 metres from the Ebisu station and is clean and comfortable. The rooms are very small but very clean and serviced daily. There is a drug store next door for the "forgotten essentials" and it is surrounded by restaurants. This is a popular area for the younger generation. The restaurant at reception provided a good breakfast...

I'm sleeping in this hotel when I'm in Tokyo for business. It's cheap, clean, convenient, and good location. No special expectation, rooms are small and internet slow. But I personally don't need more when travelling for business. Good choice of hotel around, Ebisu station at 50 mts away from the hotel.

The hotel has a small, neat rooms, clean. Close to Ebisu station, convenient traffic. The neighborhood has many dining outlets, there are many Japanese dishes. However the internet is very slow, it is difficult to send an email, access to facebook, or find information about the tramway.

This was the second time we stayed at Hotel Excellent Ebisu due to a few reasons: 1) Location is right across from JR Ebisu train station 2) Ebisu is just one stop away from Shibuya, the popular shopping and eating area and walking distance to Daikanyama, a hip and trendy boutique shopping area (I would say 25 and up crowd)...

This hotel is in a good location--close to shopping, dining, and sightseeing. It's also near the JR Ebisu train station. The hotel lobby is next to a restaurant and unfortunately, as a result, is very smoky. But the room itself was clean and had twin beds, a desk, two chairs, and a refrigerator. Oddly, the bathroom seemed like a modular...

Great value hotel right near the train station, Small rooms but theat;s to be expected. Easy to get around and lots of restaurants within walking distance. They took our booking via fax and did not take payment from us until check-out. Basic hotel but clean and convenient. Great value if you'd rather spend your time out and about and put...

I ended up in this hotel which was booked for me by my Japanese colleagues. The hotel is conveniently located in Ebisu, very close to subway and the area around is not bad with small streets and plenty of good looking Japanese restaurants. You need not be shy as most restaurants don't have English signboards on the front so it...

Not the first time I stay here.......as it is close to my office. For the money you spend it's for sure worth it. Rooms are clean (even if not too big). it is very convenient, close to JR Ebisu station. Price is fair for what this hotel has to offer.

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighbourhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
