The room was clean, the bed is comfortable, and the space while small seemed standard size for Tokyo and was efficiently used. small but well functioning bathroom. The location was very good being an easy walking distance to many fine restaurants and attractions, Yet the hotel itself was quiet. Our air conditioning did not work very well and this is...

We went trekking in Oze National Park and stop over in Tokyo for 2 nights enroute to Sapa, Vietnam for our second trek leg. Hotel Century Southern Tower was our choice for its proximity to a train station ie Shinjuku for our very early departure via train to Narita Airport. Check in our smooth and efficient. We spent two nights here in April. and had a Scenic King room. It was a very nice and good sized room (31 sq m) with a view towards Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden and the station. The hotel is easy walking distance from Shinjuku Station (about 5 minutes) and even though the room looks over the train line it was...

It is very close to Shinjuku station if you manage to find the correct exit from the station.. will be really nice if the hotel gives printed directions and details of the correct exit to be taken from the huge Shinjuku station, cause if you take the wrong exit you can go round and round for hours before you find...

Stayed for 5 nights and room was decently sized and 2 adults and 2 children could share the king bed. View was one of the best I had. Got early check-in at 12 which is well appreciated. All staff at reception were very helpful and could speak could English. Breakfast was nice but got monotonous as same menu everyday. Loved...

Just returned from Tokyo andsecondtime staying at Hotel Century Southern Tower. I have stayed at other hotels in Tokyo previously but wouldnt now consider staying anywhere else but here. My first stay was brilliant and I loved the hotel but wondered if it would be as good a second time. It was just the same spacious (for Japan)room and well...

The reception is on the 20th floor. Good lift access to street level or promenade level to station. The small shop had snacks and good priced beer. Wi fi was effeciemt. We had breakfast included and it was delicious and set us up for the day. Our first room was bigger than our return visit but still spacious enough. The...

Was pleasantly surprised with the very good stay experience at Hotel Century Southern. While it doesn't belong to any huge hotel chain, service was commendable. There's no lack of English speaking staff, be it at the front desk, dining hall or cafe. Some of the front desk staff might seem to be new on the job, but they were guided...

I was really happy with this hotel. It is in a very convenient location (a few minutes walk from Shinjuku Station, New South gate), and a good place to base yourself to explore Tokyo. It's just a short walk and you're in the middle of the Shinjuku night life, but the hotel is in a nice peaceful spot. The rooms...

This was the most comfortable bed we had in Japan. We stayed on Floor 32 in a corner room which was absolutely wonderful. We would have paid more for this room but the views were amazing. We stayed 4 days here and on three of those days could see Mt Fuji from our window. Being a corner room, we could...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
