As indicated by many other travellers, the hotel is extremely well located, right next to the metro & train stations. As a consequence and because windows are really dated and do not provide the expected level of noise insulation, rooms are indeed noisy. So, try to get a high-floor room or bring earplugs! That being said, my room was quite...

Everything is well-prepared and high-quality,It's really convenient where the hotel located, I didn't get wet from the hotel to JR in raining day. Their sweet service on my Birthday is also a charming point to me, I will definitely choose Daiichi Hotel next time.

We really enjoyed our nine nights stay. Room on the 19th floor was very nice, bedding very comfortable, nice size bathroom with large shower and bathtub, Shiseido and Occitane toiletries. Breakfast in the small lounge is very pleasant. Staff always very helpful (even with touristy information!). The NESPRESSO machine is a plus to enjoy a good morning coffee! The hotel...

My return to this hotel was not a good one. It has become tired and is in desperate need of renovation. As a consequence, they are indeed renovating the hotel. Without pre-warning when and we booked, most unfortunately, they commenced the renovation when we were there. Even though we were two floors above the floor being renovated, we were woken...

Thank you very much for your stay at Dai-ichi Hotel Tokyo. Please accept our sincere apologies for making you and your family’s stay at our hotel an uncomfortable one. It was in our lack of common sense to impose you, our dear guest, to tolerate such disturbance from the construction. We have reflected deeply on this matter and understood belatedly...

The staff are the ones who really make this hotel great. The Concierge was so helpful booking restaurants for us as were the bellhops and the staff on the exec floor (20th floor). Sure the decor was a little dated (late-90s US style) but it was well maintained and clean. The room (esp the bathroom) are huge by Japanese standards....

I was not a customer directly of the hotel but was staying in its sister's hotel next door (Dai-ichi Annex) but I was waiting for Airport Limousine Bus there where I mislodged my cellphone on the bench in the lobby. I called the Hotel and they arranged the phone to be sent with the next Airport Limousine bus. Their coordination...

We stayed for two nights in late February for leisure. We had a room on the executive floor and so that included free breakfast and afternoon drinks. We arrived by taxi from Tokyo station, that was around a ten minute ride and cost about 12 yen. We were greeted at the taxi and our luggage taken care of from the...

We mostly stayed in Ginza every time we've come to Tokyo. This time a person in our group booked us into this classic hotel at the fringe of Ginza. Location is great, we can easily walk to Ginza and the Shimbashi train station. Rooms are classic, felt like arriving back in the 80's with flowery carpet and salmon color wallpaper....

Beautiful foyer. Very friendly and helpful staff. Location very close to Shimbashi Station so good for getting around Tokyo. Plenty of good restaurants close by. Room was nice but a bit small by western standards

Stayed here for 3 nights. It was a very pleasant stay and service was top notch from their concierge, restaurants all the way to the housekeeping. Good location in the city, just 2mins walk to the Shimbashi station and many food around the vicinity of the hotel.

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
