We choose this hotel because of the good rate and for the SPG points. It is located in a nice neighborhood. The hotel runs a free shuttle service to 2 nearby train stations from where you can explore tokyo. The rooms are big enough for 2 adults. Negative the in room safe was located on the floor so we had...

Thank you very much for your staying at Sheraton Miyako Hotel Tokyo. I also thank you for taking your time to write to us. Our hotel is located in one of Tokyo’s rich residential area so it is true that it is 7-8 minutes’ walk from the hotel to the nearest 24 hours-open convenience store. This hotel is not in the tourist centre but is very close to train stations that will take you to many different places in just five or ten minutes (there is even a free shuttle to them if you don't want to walk) that are interesting to visit. The metro system is very clean and seems safe. The staff are...

Well I ended my year long travels in Japan. I decided to book the Sheraton Miyako Hotel in Tokyo. The property was fairly close to the venue and it was a Starwood property. Well, I arrived in Tokyo and headed to the hotel. The property was very secluded and hardly any local venues around. So, dinners and any type of...

This was my first trip to Tokyo. Everyone was very friendly. The room was very good and breakfasts were excellent. I had a continental and a Japanese breakfast - both very good. The hotel is in a quiet area of Tokyo from the point of view of visiting sites and this is the only drawback. I took the bus shuttle...

I stayed at Sheraton Miyako, Tokyo and was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. Tucked away in a little corner of Tokyo, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this hotel has a wonderful garden and spectacular lobby and lounge. Although the room is a bit dated, it was clean. The staff was very polite and helpful but...

Great stay at the hotel. Excellent service. Spacious triple occupancy room, which is a nice change from most other hotels in Tokyo. Airport limo makes a stop here, making it convenient to get to. Shinagawa station is a 10 min ride (~1000¥) away. Shuttle bus to Shinagawa Station until 10 am. They also run buses to Meguro station (metro) until...

The entire hotel is way too dark, the front desk and lobby employees are rude and poorly trained, couldn't make any international calls, we sat in the virtually unlighted room for two hours before we could move to a room with decent lighting, their location requires a taxi to get to anywhere, their website says 1 km to Ebisu Station...

I stayed here three nights in October 2013 as part of almost two week long business trip. Maintenance was...

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
