Any hotel is only as good as its staff and the Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo excelled in this department. I arrived early so my room was not ready but the staff immediately upgraded me to a beautiful view of Mount Fuji and made me comfortable with tea and biscuits while I waited. I was attended too by the most lovely...

Arrived late afternoon on a Saturday having endured a long week of red-eye Asia travel. The Mandarin was, as-always, incredibly welcoming and helpful - stayed nearly w week on Tokyo business. Following a long night of sleep-catch-up, as I raced around Tokyo hitting shops and museums, Concierge Tomoya Mori arranged a Sunday evening counter seat for me at Ginza Seamon...

Breakfast is done well (if rather extravagantly) and the location of the hotel is very good both for walking, shopping and catching the subway. I was lucky enough to experience the Pizza bar and Molecule Tapas Bar, and really...
