The staff were amazing and very helpful which was much appreciated as this was my first stop in Japan. The facility is clean and the twin private room on the main floor was great. The only suggestion for improvement that I have is the ladder on the bunk bed to have flat steps instead. The small round steps are hard...

Thank you for staying at our hotel and warm comment. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our hotel. In order that our guests stay more comfortably including the step matter of bunk beds, we would like to make more efforts (some of steps have already been renewed to the flat steps type as you mentioned)....

I stayed here for a few nights. The staffs are friendly and this place is suite for person who want to take away from complicated town. Around here is the old book town. There're some ramen restaurants. The taste is ok and reasonable price.

Hotel is close to subway and local stores: Family Mart and 7eleven. There is small restaurant with nice food. Breakfast are simple but ok. There is a coin laundry and dryier. It cost 300 yen and 100 yen. Rooms are small but enough for a few days. It would be nice to have free coffee and tea all day or...

A bit further from the tourist spots (e.g.Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ginza). We go by metro, and stop at Jimbocho Station (3 lines for this station), & manage to find the hotel using Waze (a GPS app on mobile). We booked the room a few months ago via Expedia, got it at low price compared to other hotels in Tokyo. We booked...

This hotel and hostel is nothing fancy, but had clean beds and helpful staff. Met some nice people who stayed in the same room as me. Good location and easy to get anywhere with Jimbocho station only about a 2 minute walk away. Breakfast buffet isn't really much of a buffet, but is super inexpensive. I would stay here again...

We stayed here as a family with two adults and two kids. It's a long time since we (the parents) have stayed in any hostels and shared bathrooms but the astronomical cost of accommodation during cherry blossom season forced us back to hostels. It was not a bad experience. Hostels have changed a lot since our backpacking days (20 years...

Travelled with eldest son to celebrate his graduation. Absolutely fabulous Hostel/Hotel. Small rooms but perfectly adequate for our needs. Met many new friends from across the globe in a welcoming friendly atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone wanting a cheap base to visit this awesome city.

The Sakura Hotel and Hostel in Jinbocho features a shared bathroom on each floor, only two laundry machines and instead of the Yamanote Line, you have to take the subway. Personally, I thought it would be a hassle but instead, I enjoyed my stay at Jinbocho. And the price I received for two weeks, I definitely saved a lot of...

Thank you for staying at our hotel and your warm comment. Spending your budget for your sightseeing with small accommodation cost is what we are also wishing to our guests as you pointed out in your comment. Neighbourhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
