Stayed here for 3 nights. Value for money was good for Tokyo, was on a corporate rate of ¥22,000 for a basic room. PROS: - Beautiful garden (have breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the garden). Walk through the gardens. - Helpful concierge staff who speak excellent English. CONS: - Bathroom ceiling too low, shower head too low, no ventilation. Need...

Stepping into this hotel is like 1960's time travel. As a matter of fact, it was featured as the villain's lair in a 60s James Bond film, and it hasn't changed much since. Along with the Imperial Hotel and the now largely defunct Okura, this is one of Tokyo's old grand hotels. Despite its age, the rooms and the entire...

This 40 floor hotel was originally built in 1964, the year of the Summer Olympics here. The classy ambiance which exudes quality is visible through the hotel complex. Albeit dated, it has aged gracefully and managed to maintain its elegance. All the staff were impeccably dressed and very attentive to our needs and many spoke English. We were fortunate to...

1. As usual like most big hotels. Very friendly front desk and staff 2. Room and hotel decor outdated but clean. Nonetheless looking at the quality and material of the outdated furnitures you could tell it was a very high end hotel in the 80s or 90s 3. Huge room especially for Tokyo 4. Nice but quieter neighborhood. But it...

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very helpful, courteous staff. We had a lovely, spacious, light and airy room - love the bathroom 'with a view' & privacy frosted glass at the press of a button! Dining was a lovely experience in this hotel - food was wonderful. The breakfasts were excellent - great selection and relaxed, comfortable dining. The...

Hotel is broken into 3 separate hotels. I stayed in the "The Main". Classic finishes but I did see a few things in my room and the hotel that were a little "tired". All-in-all I really enjoyed this hotel. The garden and lobby/shopping are very nice. I did eat at the Sky View buffet and it was amazing!! It is...

Stayed for a night during the crazy new years season. No problems checking in, and the updated rooms in the main tower (probably a few years old now) were great. My family has been staying for years for a few honeymoons, weddings, etc. Mr. Osato no longer resides on the top floor of the main tower, sadly (James Bond, 007...

I took my son to the buffet restaurant on the 40th floor of the New Otani for a New Year's eve dinner. The views were amazing but they were the highlight. We were stuck in a corner table at the furtherest distance from the buffet despite there been numerous other tables available. The buffet selection was only fair. The service...

One of my favorite hotels in Tokyo. My family and I have stayed in New Otani Tokyo for several times, and we couldn't love more its old and calm atmosphere, convenient location (very near to Akasamitsuke staion, and a lovely night bar street) and the generosity of space, which only an historic building could dominants others. Once again, the breakfast...
