In my experience, I guess Casa Rey Francis is one of the most budget friendly hostel that can accommodate you in Tagbilaran City. The room that we had is an ACC room which only costs us less than P700.00. All complete with toiletries and two (2) single beds. We just have one problem, the heater is grounded at that time... Rooms are not really satisfactory but their food was excellent. All of the dishes I tried there was super delicious. Must try the Pinakbet, Beef Steak, Pancit Canton, Adobo and Sandwiches are awesome too

The place for our seminar. The food was ok, we were served with something to keep as alert during the workshop session. I hope next time they can provide us with better option, I need coffee but we were only provided with milo during the morning snack. Wifi did not work on my I pad

We stayed two nights at Casa Rey. On the positive side... - The location is pretty good given it's near the town center - If you get one of the rooms with a view, you face the ocean which is pretty. - They do have Wi-Fi which is adequate to check email etc. but not sufficient to stream any video... Rooms start at 750 for 2 ppl. Located on the river with a nice view on the edge of downtown it's perfect location for quiet at night yet still close to the city. Wifi is above average which is good There is a cheapish restAurant downstairs or brekky

Our 2nd time around in this Pension house. It's budget friendly. That's all. The management needs to renovate this Pension house. The faucet in lavatory and shower is broken. Interior paint is gloomy and faded already with some stains and even the cabinet handle is broken. You can hear guest in other room talking because of the plywood wall. I... More

Decent place with the usual amenities for backpackers and on a tight budget, although don't expect much. Staff were polite. Had free airport transfers (considering their price) which was a plus for me. TV sucked. No phone inside room. Near the town proper; I actually walked from the town going home. Also near a barbeque house which opens during night,... More

The staff were polite. The pillows sucked, the beds sucked. The bathroom was the worse. Had no drain so there was a pool of water the whole time. Don't expect too much. (However you can expect lots of ants). The location is okay as it is close to downtown. They at least have WiFi. But the TV sucked. The only... More

The place is good for those on a budget and backpackers. A decent place to stay with air-con and the usual amenities. Near town proper and you can walk from this place to the plaza and around town. This is a old house which was turned into an inn so expect a rustic feel. Walls are thin so you can... More
