This was by far my favourite of the 12 budget hotels I stayed at while walking the Portuguese coastal Camino. The room was small but well appointed and looked out to a small, enclosed courtyard which ensured a quiet night's sleep. The staff were wonderful. The receptionist welcomed me by name each time I walked through the lobby. I enjoyed... More

Stayed here on a walking group holiday. The hotel is centrally placed, close to train and bus stations and a short walk from sea. Had a good size room overlooking the swimming pool. Air conditioning worked well (weather was exceptionally hot), and wifi worked fine. Excellent and extensive choice at buffet breakfast, though coffee from machine could be better. Three... More

We arrived at Hotel Meira after a very long day on the Camino de Santiago. The receptionist was superb at welcoming us and getting us settled in quickly. She was well-versed in her knowledge of the Camino and took the extra time to book us reservations for an alternate boat ride across the Minho River ( the regular ferry does... More

The hotel is well placed for exploring and walking. It is near to the train station and bus station. The rooms are comfortable and kept very clean. Some parts of the hotel appear to look tired, however the overall experience is a very good one. Breakfast is an experience in itself with all different types of food.....well worth a visit

The Basic room is kind of small but is functional. The hotel upgraded us to a superior room because we couldn't connect to their wifi and the power breaker for the room kept flipping off. Superior room was a definite improvement however it oddly did not have a fridge like the basic room did. We didn't use the hotel pool... More

Stopped there while doing the El Camino de Santiago. My friend and I split the peregrino unit, a 4 bed penthouse on the roof of the hotel. The Wi-Fi was awful. When it was available, an unreliable event, it was weak and you had to be in the right place and holding the phone facing the right direction. The redeeming... More

As you may have read, this is a lovely hotel suitable for all travellers from pilgrims to families. We were with a walking group and it is a great base for exploring local countryside, villages and mountains. HOWEVER the hotel had problems. Whilst the staff were always friendly and willing to help it is irritating when you have to walk... More

I stayed for a week's walking holiday and thought it was a very good hotel. The food was tasty with an extensive buffet breakfast. The staff were friendly and the rooms were spotless. The only slight negative was a lack of drawer space - two small drawers in a twin room meant we were living out of a suitcases a... More

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean, breakfasts were good and the staff were helpful. on the downside the decor was dark and the bar had very little atmosphere. The location was in the town which meant that there was noise from the outside early in the morning.
