The grounds are absolutely beautiful, plan to spend some time walking around. The room we had was huge, two stories. We had room three, which was at the end. Private sitting areas (two), outdoor wading pool, bathroom upstairs had a extremely nice view, and the...More
it was peaceful, with the sound of running water and birds and otherwise silence. It was beautiful, with the gardens in close and the terraces across the river and the mountains behind. The room was spacious, comfortable and the bathroom immense with all amenities. After...More

We had a wonderful stay at Colca Lodge recently and loved our suite, room 31. The room was spacious and well appointed and thermal springs were extremely relaxing after the drive from Arequipa and Zip lining in Chivay. I would highly recommend the Colca Lodge...More
Stayed at this lovely lodge for two nights with the purpose of visiting the Colca Canyon to see the Condors. The whole setting was stunning and remote which added to the enjoyment. Food in the restaurant was very good too both for dinner and breakfast....More
We stayed at the lodge to go and see the condors but stayed an extra day to acclimatise and chill. The gardens, hot springs and lama ranch were wonderful and the sound of the flowing river and views from our room were awesome.

Sorry . No idea. We travelled with Lima Tours & had a private guide & driver. It is a long way from Chivay to Colca. Chivay was our lunch stop from Arequipa to Colca Lodge.
Afraid our travel was all organised by Journey Latin America who were outstanding. It's an amazing journey , up to 4910 metres at one point, so drink some coca tea or chew some leaves if you have them!!!

We drove in Peru, but we think that this is not a good place to drive. You have to pass a 5100 meter high mountain on your way from Arequipa to Colca Canyon and most people feel sick (AMS) or drugged out (coca leaves, AMS medication). You have to be at the airport not later than 08.30 AM, which also means that you have to drive during night time as it is a rather long drive from Colca Canyon to Arequipa. Again, we would advise you not to do that. If you really like to drive, you might decide to stay an extra night in Arequipa (and return the car on Saturday evening). We recommend to hire a driver (or ask the hotel to pick you up).
