We only had one night here and unfortunately it was near the start of our trip - think we'd have enjoyed it more if it had been at the end when we'd had more chance to acclimatise to the altitude, unfortunately as it was we mostly just wanted to sleep....and we didn't feel warm enough to want to try the... The hotel is based in the base of this remote valley/canyon with private hot springs and a Spa. Rooms are clean and most are away from the main building. The floors are bare wood and creek. A large rug would have been a welcomed addition. As would a small kettle to make a cup of tea. A touch is provided... More

You have to be fit maneuvering around at over 12000 feet. This hotel is situated above the river but below the parking area so getting down to the thermal springs or back up with luggage can be an effort. Rooms were OK as was the food. It was overcast our 2 nights there so missed the great night skies.

Beautiful views and nice hotel rooms. Lots of walking with stairs required. Hard to get to so plan time. Front desk staff was not that friendly or helpful, unlike most of Peru. Food was okay but not fantastic. Hot springs were a plus although somewhat hard to navigate the stairs at night with little lighting. From what we could see,... More

We arrived here after a stunning coach journey from Puno, one of the most spectacular journeys I have ever had, although I appreciate that not everyone would enjoy it as much as I did. Credit to our coach driver who mastered the tricky roads brilliantly. The Colca Lodge is situated in a beautiful location at the bottom of a valley.... More

The hotel is very nicely set in the Colca valley and makes for a very relaxing stay. The hot springs are excellent for relaxing, the surroundings of the hotel make it truly relaxing. Restaurant and bar are nice, which is important as there are no alternatives nearby. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I very nearly gave this superb hotel a five but the breakfast was just a bit too much 'help yourself' and the food was not quite up to scratch. It felt a bit like a cafeteria. Having said that our room was very comfortable, the free hot springs were wonderful to laze in and the situation was ideal for a... More

We stayed at Colca Lodge for one night arriving mid afternoon and leaving early the next morning to view the condors. Next time we should spend longer in order to explore the beautiful grounds and locality more. The food was good, the rooms spacious and warm, the staff friendly and efficient and the natural 'hot tubs' by the river were... More

The trip by bus to this amazing hotel was an adventure in itself. The roads to get here are not paved and run along steep cliffs. Our bus driver was amazing! The hotel itself is on a hillside so that getting from the parking lot to the rooms is a challenge for those of us with bad knees. But so... More
