Excellent for one night stay - the location IS on the cliffs overlooking the kombu/kelp harvest beach and small port, and the fish dinner is delicious. But the heyday has passed this family run hotel and things are a little faded, peeling paint, damp carpets in the main bedroom (holes in the window?) and uninspiring dining room. Sea Kayak guide Yanagida-san speaks some English, Koro-the-dog has the longest lead in the world all over the hotel and its parking area and you won't go hungry. Slightly bizarrely - there is 1930s English furniture! But don't expect smart. More
