If you book a room overlooking the sea you will never forget it. Low season treat as Getaria is very busy in the summer months. Fabby village with narrow cobbled streets overflowing with tapas bars and friendly people. NB Don't miss a trip on the escalator up to the heady heights and a visit to the splendid Cristobal Balenciaga Museum....

We found this marvellous little hotel online, when we were planning a visit to the Basque Region. 'Boutique' is a perfect description for this classy, but subtly featured building, which has stunning views of the immediately adjacent bay, and easy walking access to the town of Getaria and its fishing port. The hotel building is a lovingly restored ancient town...

A completely marvelous hotel. perfect for a quiet break off season Wonderful owners, gracious staff - what is not to like. Amazing views of gorgeous beaches and sparkly clean sea. I spent hours watching the tide come in and go out again. Getaria is very well connected to San Sebastian by a very inexpensive, frequent bus service

This hotel boasts the most incredible views. Located just in the old section of town, on a beautiful street, it is well-situated for walking everywhere. Better still, it is authentic, but updated. Kind staff, electric shutters to close for sleeping in, and breakfast on site.

A charming, tightly run 'ship', this hotel has character and deserves much praise. Waves below lull you to sleep, and rock you into relaxation. Fabulous choice of restaurants, all within a short walk, more than satisfy any appetite. This modest but eclectic hotel nestled in a back street in Gretaria, a working port with a gentle side. Good walking in...

Although I wouldn't recommend our room, the other rooms seem much lighter and some have fabulous views. We were on the top floor at the end with a queen bed, only one small 15 x36 approx. window, straining on tip toe, one could see a little water. One side the rooms face the older stone buildings across the street, on...

A lovely hotel, built into the town’s stone walls. We were welcomed by the receptionist and check-in was quick. Our room on the 2nd floor (3rd floor in US) overlooked a cove with a lovely beach. The view has to be seen to be believed. Our room was spotless and a good size with plenty of storage space. On the...

This hotel was booked as part of a Brittany ferries holiday deal. Great hotel central to the old town. Lovely breakfast especially the freshly squeezed orange juice. WIFI a bit sketchy but good in communal areas. Parking 10€ per night but as 2 couples on motorbikes shard a parking space made it more reasonable.

“Zimmer zur Kirche in der 3. Etage haben uns besser gefallen, passen durch Einrichtungsstil besser zum historischen Gebäude, waren außerdem mit klinem Balkon. Zimmer mit Meerblick sind modern eingerichtet und kleiner, auch das Bad, dort keine Balkone. Dafür ist der direkte Blick zum Meer natürlich TOP ”
