Stayed in this fantastically situated hotel, in a lovely room and elegant complex. However, stopping here is a little isolated and unfortunately the hotels restaurant is, in our experience, woeful at times. Ate on the first night and the experience was slightly below average but, based on other more favourable reviews, tried again. Was served truly terrible pasta, over cooked...

We found this hotel via a small agent and the web, whilst looking for a last minute getaway to somewhere warm in November. All the literature suggested that the Hacienda would be quiet, secluded, luxurious, with good food and service, smack in the middle of a working banana plantation. It proved pretty much the Ronseal description - as described on...

This was a 5 star experience from the arrival til we left (six days in total.) We came in the middle of the night and was warmly welcomed, and there were no problems leaving/checking out 7 am either. The room was rustic and perfect, nice combination of bathtub and shower, splendid view of the ocean (room number 15.) The swimming...

We stayed here last week, the location is situated just past Banaderos, on a side road leading up to Arucas. Visible from the side round by the distinctive flags outside. The grounds are amazing and really well maintained with a nice swimming pool. We arrived late at night at about 2230 and were saddened to see no bar or restaurant...

I am a travel writer and travel several months a year internationally. I also have fairly high expectations. The hacienda was a treasure...we loved it so much that we extended our stay. STRENGTHS: service superb both in reception and breakfast area. Bedrooms were large, individually decorated and ours had a nice bathroom with huge spa bath tub/shower. Grounds were very...

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The room is tidied every day. It is well situated for walking in the centre (do not plan this in March - too cloudy and rainy in the interior - doh!) and Las Palmas. The restaurant is OK, we had two dinners which were fine, although...

La Hacienda del buen successo is promoted as an oasis of tranquility in a sea of banana plantations where one can relax in an atmosphere of former estate grandeur. Be warned. It falls short of the idyll. The positive points? Plenty hot water at all times. Rooms were clean. Food was homely and with friendly presentation. The negatives. Serious and...

Beautiful hotel - such a pity that it is not managed and is in need of a good clean and some tlc. Food is pathetically bad - again, if there was someone running the place, it could be amazing. The staff were very helpful and tried to do their best but just lacked direction. The rooms are very stylish and...

My friend and I are just back from a super week at The Hacienda in Arucas. It is set in wonderful banana plantations and the town of Arucas is within walking distance during day light. Walking there at night would be slightly hazardous. There is a wonderful garden next door belonging to the Marquesa which you should visit. Get a...

My wife and I stayed at the Hacienda del Buen Suceso for 2 nights on our 7 day trip around the northern mountain region of Gran Canaria. It's a very peaceful location about 1km from Arucas. The rooms are rustic, traditional and clean. It's a great place to relax and we very much enjoyed our meal at the restaurant. Good...
