Nice relaxing hostel, with secure garden and pool area. Walk maybe 50 meters down a lane to the very nice beach and also some shops care and restaurants in the other direction. I had a private room upstairs, air conditioned and nice bathroom and good bed, for a very good price,

Nice hostel between the 2 'main' streets. Since it is not that big it is easy to catch up with other travelers and talk about surfing for ages! Nice little kitchen to cook your own meals is a big plus, did i tell you that you can bring your own booz yet?! El Tunco gets pretty busy on the weekends...

quite frustrating when a hostel website says to contact them via email for reservation enquiries.. but never gets back to you. after booking elsewhere, we decided to see if maybe they just don't reply back when they were full, but were greeted with the availability of many rooms that they were happy for us to stay in. we mentioned that...

Good place to stay in El Tunco, staff is friendly and the rooms are good. Close to the beach, and the place to buy food at the corner "Pupusas", the pool is regular The prices are better for a long staying

I was happy with my accommodation, clean prívate room with a double bed & twin with bathroom / shower for $18 us a night. $22 for A/C, but you do not need it. The green jungle atmosphere & trees protect the building from the sun's strong rays. The Hostel is quiet, & lovely to take a break from the beach...

I stayed twice in La Sombra! I really liked how is configurated the hostel, the swimming pool, the kitchen etc. It's great to socialise and to meet people. The kitchen is well furnished, 2 fridges, 1 oven, and a lot of various tools and free coffee! They burned permanently repilant for mosquitos to make sure guest feel comfy. You also...

The hostel was nice and cosy, with a small but perfect swimming pool. We didn't meet the manager José unfortunately, the girl and boy taking care of the place didn't speak a lot but were okay. The nightwatch was a bit rude though, kicking us out of the kitchen at 11 pm, while weren't making any noise. The rooms are...

Stayed just for one night when getting down to Nicaragua. Our room was clean with two fans and an ac, so the room was ok during the night. Personal locker in a private room is a plus. The kitchenette was in a terrible state though and I did not feel like using anything there.

This place is wonderful. Great atmosphere, really nice jungle like setting. Lots of shade and coolness when it is super hot elsewhere. Super clean and taken care off. Manuel who works there is really helpful and kind. I would highly recommend this place.
