Stunning location right beside a beautiful river (er hum!! Hence the name. lol) Roxanne is lovely and really looks after you. She cooks a mean breakfast 🍳 We arrived in really cold weather and found her b&b to be cosy, warm and clean, although a little quirky with her interior design, or should I say " individual style ". All...

I recently stayed at this lovely B&B for a wedding in a nearby hotel. On arrival we were grateful for the fresh milk offered as after a long journey a cup of tea was needed! Our room was well sized with a huge bathroom and good storage space. An excellent breakfast both mornings and useful local information meant we thoroughly...

Fantastic place in beautiful surroundings. Room was lovely, clean and quiet. Ensuite was big and lovely and clean. Service tray in room was good and a cafetiere with ground coffee made that morning coffee so much better. Breakfast was amazing and so filling. Roxana made our night here special and is a lovely lady doing an amazing job

Stayed here for 3 nights over last weekend and was very impressed. The rooms were a good size and very clean, the breakfasts were lovely, with locally sourced meat, from the butcher below, and Roxana was the perfect host. Left a USB cable in the room and it was back with me the next day. A great all around experience,...

Really comfortable room. Excellent location and to top off breakfast was fantastic, and lovely and friendly owners. Definitely will visit again when on a walking trip to Wensleydale. And highly recommend a stay.

This is an excellent little B7B tucked way in a corner of the village of Bainbridge. Situated by the bridge and behind and above the butchers it would be easy to miss but certainly worth consideration if you're looking for accommodation in Wensleydale. Roxana is a very good host, young, chirpy and welcoming. The rooms are clean and quirky in...

Although we only stopped for one night at the riverside B & B it quickly became apparent upon leaving we wished we had stopped longer. We were very pleasantly greeted by the proprietor of the riverside B & B Roxana, who showed us around the amenities and then to our room. The room itself was very well presented, everything clean...

The Riverside is an excellent place to stay, everything very clean and beds very comfortable, Roxana our host was very friendly and helpful. There are stairs immediately through the front door and another flight to the accommodation level which was well appointed with great views.

My husband booked this place as a surprise. I have to take my hat off to him it was perfect. The room was spotless, cosy and warm. We stayed in bedroom one. The bed was comfortable and a four poster. The hospitality tray was wonderful with decent sized mugs. The bathroom was spacious and had nice touches like shower gel,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Up until the 1890's, High Mill was the village corn mill, after which it became a sawmill. In 1912 the Bainbridge Electric Lighting Company took over the site but The National Grid reached Upper Wensleydale a few years later and the mill returned to being a sawmill, driven by the old water turbine. It now has a different role that welcomes the discerning visitor, inviting them to delight in its heritage. We offer three rooms with generous en-suites, the two doubles with Four Poster Beds and a twin bedded room with stunning views, all furnished in keeping with the surroundings. All rooms have hospitality trays, hairdryers and flat screen TVs with DVD player and there is a separate TV lounge to relax and unwind in should you so wish. ... more   less
