We visited in end December and stayed one night in the tent and then 2 nights in the cottages. I must say the staff are extremely helpful and polite. Mr.Iyer helped make our stay comfortable. Mr. Deepak Pate the naturalist explained all the flora and fauna of the tiger reserve on safari. The cold wipes after the safari were a very thoughtful gesture as was the early morning tea just before taking off on the morning safari. Overall i would rate this resort as 5 stars.

We stayed at the Irai Safari Retreat for 2 nights in Tents. The tents have a spacious sit out attached which is ideal to relax after a Safari. The interior of the tent rooms were very clean and very well maintained with clean and tidy restrooms. The food served was freshly prepared and we had packed food for all the Safaris. Very hospitable staff. Overall great stay. Irai will be definitely be our go to safari resort when we visit Tadoba next time!

We stayed at Irai Resorts in April 2022. I was extremely apprehensive about visiting Tadoba in the summers due to the heat. But my fear was thrown out as soon as I reached the resort.

The rooms were very clean and fully air-conditioned. The cool AC air made us feel very fresh as soon as we entered the room.

Unlike most jungle resorts the food served at Irai Resort had plenty of options to choose from and tasted good. All things you’d check out off of your list of things that qualify a good resort from an average one, what separates Irai Resort is its staff.

The staff puts a certain life into the property and are exceptionally honest in their job. Mr Deepak Pate the manager at the property leads the team with utmost professionalism and honesty. Special mention about Chinmay's hospitality. He took excellent care of all our food needs. He made sure we ate well and were happy. A very hardworking boy who will go a long way.

The whole staff was very keen to make us feel comfortable and were very prompt with their service.

We would encourage everyone to stay in this resort and have a first-hand experience of the very heartfelt service and a beautiful jungle experience.

I was there in Tadoba with my family for a jungle Stay in Jan Mid 2020, and stayed at Irai Resort.
Primary about the stay.:
The resort really stands out compared to any location in Tadoba. It was a very relaxed stay with really superior service. The rooms were reminiscent like palaces with a lot of space, big bathrooms (and very artistic), comfortable beds and a seating area outside every room and a terrace on top for the awesome views for bird watching.
They had a lot of activities in the resort like Swimming pool, Library, Board games, Table Tennis, Carom, etc. the food was of very high eminence even for vegetarians. It was very close from the Mohurli gate and took less than 10 mins to reach there on Jeep.
Safari rounds were amazing, and the jungle was exceptional Agarzari (Buffer Zone)
Overall we had a great weekend from Hyderabad.

This is an amazing place to stay, very close to Tadoba National park. The room, in a tent, was clean and comfortable with outside space to relax and enjoy the quietness of the place. The restaurant offered varied Indian quality food in an open buffet. In the afternoon we had tea and biscuits and some indian delicacies.
Mr Deepak Haridas Pate was the best guide we have ever met on our visits to national parks. He carefully looked for animals anywhere to show us and was extremely patient waiting for tigers or other animals to show up.He is really a Tiger man, a true nature lover and an excellent photographer of wildlife. Besides this, he always explained us everything related to wildlife and animal habits.
Mr Deepak and the other manager ( very sorry, didn't take note of your name) of the hotel also were very kind and attentive in fulfilling all our demands and wishes. As we were leaving the hotel around 2 in the afternoon we were offered time extra to check out.
Thank you very much to both of you.Hope we can go back to Irai.

Irai is a slow place. Residing area is far from the main reception and for anything ,from water to cleaning of rooms takes multiple requests. Rooms also need maintenance. From lights waiting to be replaced to windows waiting to be repaired, the place needs maintenance
Food is much left to be desired. They do not serve non veg for lunch which is a huge dampener for non vegetarians.
They took excellent care for safaris, right from cold drinking water to juices to bear the scorching heat. Also,it doesn't embrace much local culture - like cuisine, art and so on. While providing employment, and trying to be environmentally sustainable, inclusion of local culture will be an added attraction for tourists, especially children.

The IRAI Safari Retreat is not just a resort for stay but is a place where you get the feeling of being in Jungle as well as you feel relaxed and are safe here. This place is a fusion of scariness but safe with all required securities. The reason behind the fusion of scariness is because the resort offers beautiful Luxurious cottages as well as Luxurious Tents in their premises with dense jungle in the surrounding but with full required securities and the premises is covered with security and security cameras. So, it's absolutely 100% safe from wild animals entering the premises. I went their along with my younger sister and mother. We all three ladies felt so safe and at the same time enjoyed their and had relaxation treat without any fear of being staying in the core jungle area. The IRAI Safari retreat not only makes your stay comfortable but also makes your experience memorable because of the Staff working their are professional and privides best service as they can and specially Mr,Deepak who is managing the resort so well who is also a Naturalist who guides you well and provides additional and vital information related to Safaris and Tadoba Jungle. The resort premises provides you freshness and relaxation with a feeling of part of jungle and with hygiene.
The cottages are actually luxurious which is a worth to stay, with all luxurious amenities with proper hygiene provided and a lot of open area designed to hang out in your private space. The terrace of the cottage along with warrandah gives you immense pleasure to be with your family and friends in your own private space.
Will plan more visits here in summers as last time we visited very recent in the start of Dec'2020.
Definitely a worth Stay in the core jungle area of Tadoba.

This was my 10th stay at Irai Safari Retreat and it just keeps getting better and better each time❣️

Beautiful Resort with neat and clean and well maintained cottages and tents amidst the jungle
We can't get enough of this place, the people and hospitality ❤️

This time we planned just a 2 days visit at the drop of the hat and were lucky to get a stay booked just 12 hours of our arrival.

Amazing Customer Service, down to earth staff, they ensure to take care of your smallest needs and ensure that your stay is worth every penny.

We had visited with the whole family and booked 2 rooms which was done at a very very short notice and everything was managed very smoothly by Deepika who has always been the best and very supportive. She ensures that our bookings and all the arrangements are done seamlessly.. She is extremely efficient, down to earth and helps us each time we plan our visit.. Kudos to her👏🏻

The FnB and HK Manager was very helpful, always ensured that everything we needed was made available in no time, managed everything smoothly. They had cooked special Ghavran chicken on day 1 of our stay which was just amazing in taste. Very local and very authentic in taste. 5 starts for the cooking team.

Mangesh our ever trusted bell boy who is also great at setting up stellar Barbecues and cooking up some really tasty Tandoori chicken. Also thanks to the entire staff at Irai that made our stay pleasant and helped us in every possible way to make our stay memorable yet againđź’—

Already looking forward to visit again in October 2022❣️Thank you Irai Safari Retreat

We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days at Irai Safari Retreat and what an experience it was! The whole booking process for the safari and the retreat was super smooth thanks to Deepika and she helped us out at all times through our stay. Being very close to the Moharli gate makes it super convenient for sore area safaris. We were 6 people and we all had a great time. Everything was perfect right from the big clean rooms to the hospitality and the food. For our morning safaris we were provided with packed sandwiches and tea/coffee before departure. The food was amazing and yet simple and clean, don’t remember any dish being repeated. A special thanks to the dining room staff (especially Mangesh) and the amazing chef. Since it was a couple’s anniversary in the group the team at Irai also arranged a cake, which was a sweet gesture considering the location. The property is spread over 14 acres and has a swimming pool, badminton court, gym and games room. We stayed in the cottages which seem more premium but there is also an option of tents which looked really nice. At night one can enjoy a bon fire and sit under star lit sky. In case anyone wants to rent binoculars or cameras the same are available at the reception. Irai Safari Retreat also arranges a pick up and drop from Nagpur airport/ train station on prior request. Overall a 10/10 to everyone at Irai Safari Retreat, would definitely recommend a stay here.

We had a fantastic experience staying at the Irai Safari Retreat. We stayed there for 3 nights and in total went for four safaris. The cottages were clean and had all the modern amenities. Since we went along with my 85 year old grandmom, we had some special requests such as wheel chair assistance, heater in the room, and in-room dining facilities. All these facilities were provided with utmost care. The staff were extremely courteous and went the extra mile to make our stay very comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious and most of the ingredients were locally sourced.

For the safaris, we booked via the lodge and the pickup was arranged directly from the resort. We also hired the services of their naturalist Mr. Deepak Pate. Mr. Deepak has vast amount of knowledge about the jungle and shared many interesting stories. We were lucky enough to spot tigress Sonam marking her territory during a safari and tigress Lara majestically walking towards us in another safari.

Special praise should be made to the Gypsy drivers and the local guides who make a sincere and an earnest effort to make sure that we have a good safari experience.

You can directly call the hotel and book. They are friendly people and would guide you. You can take your own car upto the resort. From the resort, again you can take your car upto the safari entrance gate where you can park your car and take the gypsy's which are abundantly available. Alternatively you can ask the resort people to arrange the gypsy for you. It costs around 2500 excluding guide and entrance charges. Safari's to the core areas are to be booked in advance online and they are generally not available impromptu. But you have the alternative of booking under "Tatkal Scheme" again online three days before the date of safari but it almost costs 3 times. You can also ask the resort people to book a safari for you. The last alternative being the safari in the buffer zones which are available till last moment, but are no great fun for tiger sightings.
