Cosy, warm fire, well stocked, lovely friendly welcome including the dog. Stayed in the village, this pub is the welcome hub of the village. Plenty of drinks to choose from, atmosphere friendly, bar staff helpful in this busy little bar. Restaurant very busy can accommodate large parties but we didn't eat this time, but we will be back and we...

We called in last week for Sunday lunch after our walk. We booked a table, and I'm glad we did because it was very busy. We received a great welcome from the bar man, a perfect pint and a great lunch. I had the beef which was excellent, and my partner had the butternut squash and goats cheese bake, which...

We called in last week for a lunch stop on our walk. A great welcome, a perfect pint and a great lunch. The soup and sandwich combo was marvellous.......lovely homemade spicy parsnip soup and a "proper" ham sandwich was my choice. The others all had different things all of which were top class. Pity we didn't have room for some...

Another excellent starter and main courses with beautiful food. Starter was very well presented and the Sunday roast was just a very fine meal. Sweets were the "but" hot puddings which were cold (crumble &a custard). We will forgo sweets in future but we will be back.

We have stayed at the Bolton Arms for a weekend break in Janaury for the last 3 years. This time we were joined by some family and friends. The welcome was as warm as ever and staff , particularly in the restaurant were great. One of our friends was celebrating a birthday and the kitchen had prepared a fantastic cake...

We stayed for a 3 night break to beat the New Year blues, the package is excellent value for money. The rooms are small but have everything needed, lots of storage for walking clothes, tray for muddy boots, coffee and tea making, good hot shower, toiletries and a lovely warm clean room. The rooms are just outside the pub which...

Booked here between Christmas and New Year 2016 as a base to explore nearby countryside. Its a great base and beautiful parts of North Yorkshire literally on the doorstep. Pleasant greeting and helpful bar staff throughout. Good range of real ales. Hearty and plentiful food. We ate here both nights and had breakfast. No issues with service. Only words of...

My friend and I went to North Yorkshire for some walking. The Hotel is wonderfully situated for Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle (which was shut when we got to it). The countryside is beautiful and we had a lovely stay in The Bolton Arms. The staff were very friendly and we were able to book into the restaurant for a...

We stayed here for a wedding at Bolton Castle. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and they were super helpful. The breakfast was really nice and they even specially got veggie sausages for me. The room was clean and warm with good facilities. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit the Yorkshire Dales!
