Booked this for my husband and sons annual ski trip as normal place was fully booked - so pleased it was. They loved the location as it was really relaxed and quiet, they had some of the best food they have EVER eaten (and we have been to a few Michelin restaurants around the world). The staff were incredibly hospitable... More

I stayed at the Alpenhotel in the first week of April. The rooms and facilities were spotless, the staff were very friendly if we had any questions. The food was amzing, the would never let you go hungry with a five course menu. It was a short walk through the small town to the bus stop to take you to the... More

A traditional Austrian family run hotel. Cosy and spotlessly clean with beautiful views from the room. The food was excellent and plentiful, although on a couple of occasions a little over salted. I was really looking forward to chilling in the spa area at the end of the day but it was impossible to relax due to young children running... More

Wonderful experience at the Alpenhotel in Galtur due to Peter and his excellent team. Understated and very efficient service topped off by first class food which is the measure of any I have eaten on my travels. Will certainly be on my return list of hotels (which does not include many), possibly for a Summer holiday where I would love... More

Stayed here a few times now. It's always reliable. We were wondering if there was a new chef, as food was not so good this time, and lots of it came in a glass! Staff attentive and efficient and smartly turned out. The rooms are fine though a bit dated compared to other hotels we have stayed in. Shower over... More

We visited Galtur as a group of 12 lively older adults and we all loved this hotel. The food was consistently excellent with 5 course gourmet meals and delicious afternoon cakes available. The waiting staff were professional, polite and helpful. The rooms were spotless. There was a ski room to heat the boots. There was a short, steep hill to... More

Galtur is a quiet village away from the testosterone fuelled bars of Ischgl with ski runs a short bus ride away. The Alpenhotel is a perfect base for exploring both ski areas, it is spotlessly clean and has everything you would want from a small hotel. The staff are friendly, helpful and extremely professional. The beds are comfortable, the rooms... More

Very comfortable hotel, great views from the room, excellent food... I particularly enjoyed the breakfast menu. Cake and sandwiches available in lounge every a afternoon - excellent. Spa area really nice at the end of a hard days skiing. Near to the bus stop and ski hire shops. Only gripe is that they charge for tap water with the evening... More

Excellent well run hotel with good food. I have been there four times and write much the same things each time. Worth letting everyone know how good it is Visiting with Crystal, you do get dumped off the coach at the bottom of the hill with your luggage. Some sort of luggage transport up to the foyer and back on... More

We had a week's skiing holiday here in January. It was a very comfortable hotel, excellent food at breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meal. We were lucky enough to have a fabulous view from the bedroom window. Staff very friendly and attentive. Only downside was the lack of jagermeister!
