Just back from a wonderful week spent at Cathedral Peak hotel. The service was friendly and of a high standard, food was outstanding and the facilities were very good. We had a standard room which was really comfortable. The hotel is situated in a beautiful part of the Drakensberg and there are walks available for all levels of fitness. Will...

We ate there one night. It was like a food factory - hundreds of people jostling to get to the not particularly exciting food. The only thing to do is finish your meal as quickly as possible - conversation is out of the question. The hotel comes across as pretentious and feels like a vast sanatorium rather than a charming...

Our stay was great. The food service in the form of a buffet dinner was a bit slow and staff did not communicate well. We were asked to leave our table as someone else booked it. Why wait until we are seated to tell us? The rooms are warm but the interior needs to be upgraded. The outside gardens and...

We had our wedding at Cathedral Peak and it was simply amazing!! Siraaj, the Banqueting team and the staff were outstanding, the food was superb, the facilities and rooms were perfect and the view, to die for. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Cathedral Peak could accommodate all our guests, which allowed for a weekend full of family...

My wife and I are a retired couple and one of our wishes was to visit the 'berg one day. We were fortunate enough to get a special deal that provided us with a two day stay at the hotel. I had seen some of the reviews that remarked on the old fashioned rooms but I must say I was...

We stayed here with friends for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. Our accommodation was superb. We were in room 220 and it was the best we stayed in during our 3 week trip. The view from the large patio windows was breathtaking and we were able to sit and watch sunbirds feeding from the flowers right outside our...

Wonderful location set deep in the Drakensberg Mountains. You could stay here for a week and there will always be lots to do. Activities include mountain climbing and walking of course, but also there is tennis, a putt putt (mini golf) course, a 9 hole golf course, a bowling green, and an outside swimming pool. Or you can relax and...

What an amazing experience. We spent 2-nights and honestly it was just not enough. The activities are various, affordable and close by and are VERY well organized. Plenty of activities to do both on and off the property. Stunning views, great food and a wonderful place for children. We are planning on going back and staying longer.

We were stuck in the Cathedral Peak region after driving around all day. The events manager went out of her way to get us a room within our budget with dinner and breakfast included. Amazing experience and we'll definitely visit again

Spent a night At Cathedral Peak Hotel, and can honestly say 2 nights would be my max. Not that there is anything wrong, but it does cater for the golden oldies that tend to freakwent this type of old style hotel. Buffet dinner and breakfast catered to all our needs, rooms were clean and well appointed, hotel maintenance and gardens...
