Ed and I invited 65 adults and 9 children to help us celebrate our wedding day at Cathedral Peak Hotel and what a fantastic decision that was... Most of our guests flew in from all over the world and were all blown away with this stunning venue, incredible service and wide range of things to do. We spent 4 nights...

The location of this property is stunning, with activities for all ages and interests. The service is friendly and efficient and accommodation comfortable with wonderful mountain views. Food served buffet style in the large restaurant offers many choices and all of a high quality with a lot of fresh local produce. A very relaxing and enjoyable place to stay ....

Service was excellent, prompt and very professional. Room and bathroom neat and spacious. Great views from rooms. All buffet meals were well prepared and had a big variety to choose from. Loads of activities for all aside from hiking into the mountains. Will definitely return with the whole family.

It's a 4 hour drive from JHB. The hotel is lovely, the scenery beautiful and the food delicious. The reception staff are not knowledgeable of things in the area. We had to wait for our room to be ready, although it was after check-in time. Note: There is many stairs to climb and the hotel and rooms are on various...

We spent a lovely and comfortable few days in the hotel for a wedding. It's situated in a beautiful location at the foot of the Drakensberg with spectacular views. It was the ideal venue to catch up with old friends and celebrate the special occasion. Highly recommended. Would have loved to spend more time there to partake in all the...

We were disappointed in that this hotel has no AC and you cannot open the windows because of the baboons. It's probably the best in the neighborhood but don' t expect much beyond the basics. Food (buffet only) is good but does not change from night to night. Rooms are spread out all over the grounds. They don't provide maps...

We stayed for 2 nights as part of tour around SA, Zimbabwe and Botswana. We had looked forward to a day of walks and rest from bus travel but it rained. We were advised not to do any walks although we were prepared to get wet. There was absolutely nothing to do. Not their fault about the weather and the...

Cathedral Peak has certainly lost its charm. And @ R1500/pp sharing for a standard room you certainly don't get anything different to that of a family unit at an Aventura resort at the same price for the whole house. It seems to be a resort focused on job creation. Don't think after a long days walk you are going to...

Dear Marion We sincerely regret we were unable to meet your expectations, but I can assure, Cathedral Peak continues to provide excellent standards and value for money in these difficult times. All HOD's have had meetings with their staff regarding the other issues you addressed. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. W. Van der Riet

if you love to walk it is a great place to be. But for a family not really Only mountains to see around you, not much animals. Only book one night and it was enough. You have an option on Self catering or non for accommodation. Can only check in after 14H00. Remember to get wood for the chimney after...

Hi Christa We think you may have confused the Cathedral Peak Hotel with the neighboring lodge called Didima. We are a 4 star hotel and do not have fireplaces in the rooms. We hope that this brings some clarity for you.

Some new some old but all clean. Spacious rooms and great food. A few staff seemed to be new and could not get a drinks order right but all the staff are friendly. There was a medical emergency when an elderly lady fell and cut here head open baldy. This could have been dealt with with more urgency. All in...
