We stayed at this property for a friends wedding. In its day Im sure it would have been stunning. It is looking quite dated which is unfortunate as has so much going for it. Our room was large and well set out with a small balcony overlooking the pool. (not heated).Only gripe on room was bathroom fan if you happened to...

Thank you for writing a review for our Hotel. We note the Hotel has been extensively refurbished in modern classic styling over the last two to three years which provides a warm welcoming and comfortable feel to the Hotel. The rooms have also very recently been refurbished, this refurbishment was completed in December 2015. We are pleased you appreciated the...

Travelling down the beautiful bush lined very long driveway you arrive at a very substantial building comprising of accommodation, bar, restaurant, swimming pool, sauna, squash court and the most amazing views over the Waitakere Ranges and Auckland City. The hotel has been upgraded recently however still retains its character. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The dinner was exceptional as...

My wife and I stayed here over night as we were going to a friends wedding nearby and it is quite away out from central Auckland. The hotel is nestled in amongst some beautiful forest and has amazing views with birdlife in abundance. You really get the full forest experience. The decor is a bit dated and the whole place...

Thank you for your review and we are pleased you enjoyed our stunning rainforest setting 30 kilometres from downtown Auckland. At only a 35 to 40 minute drive from downtown Auckland or the Auckland airports the little extra driving time is worthwhile to experience the unique setting and rainforest surrounds of the Hotel. The Hotel has been extensively refubished over...

Our first trip to New Zealand and we're wondering where to stay for a night before embarking on a road trip. Since we hired a car we weren't limited to hotels near the airport or downtown, so booked a room at the Waitakere Estate. Although it took us Yanks about an hour to find it, winding through residential areas and...

Thank you for yur review. Auckland's Waitakere Estate is a great alternative to the City for a relaxing stay after a long flight. With a good GPS to assist the hotel is only 40 minutes from the Auckland Airports. After the short drive you arrive at the total peace and tranquility of our spectacular rainforest setting.

We stayed here for 2 nights (4 Adults) in a two bedroom Apartment. The views were absolutely sensational and the gardens are fantastic. The apartment had nice decor and spacious. Worth spending the extra $$$ for the upgraded apartments. Great place to relax and soak up the atmosphere. Staff very friendly.

We appreciate your feedback and agree the apartments are a great option when up to four guests are travelling together. There is also the added benefit of a seperate lounge area to realx in.

Could have been nice years ago. Everything very dated. Impossible to get on the Internet as so many codes and only half an hour. Then top charges. Traveling with my 70 yr old mother and arrived to a double bed around 2.30/3pm told it couldn't be made into two singles as the laundry room was locked and the lady had...

We stayed here for one night. The hotel has amazing views from the rooms. It was quite hot in our room (no air con) but we were given a fan. Restaurant is also amazing with great food and service and views. We had a lovely stay.

Auckland was basically full with chinese new year so had to look outside the city. This was like stepping back in time with the whole hotel like a 1980's English B&B. The service was patchy at best, the wine was warm, no air conditioning with lots of mosquitos to contend with. Fun drive to get there, watch your bill as...

There are parts of this hotel that are dated but we really enjoyed the boutique feel and the room was clean and comfortable. They also provided some complimentary fruit.
