We had originally been looking to stay in the Grosseto area further north to split up our Pisa to Rome drive but ended up picking Villa Tirreno because of the reviews and perceived good value for money. And we're so glad we picked it. It's perfect for anyone who has a car as it's perfectly placed just off the motorway...

This hotel is NOT located in the heart of the walled town, but that actually makes it MORE convenient if you are in transit and have a car. The hotel is easy to find on the main road into Tarquinia, and has a parking lot. Getting to the walled city is easy, and can mostly be done on stairs scaling...

This is the third time we visited this hotel. We had just finished stressful three days in Rome and then Tarquinia is a treat to come back to. The hotel has reasonable prices. Great staff who is polite and helpful. Everything just works at this hotel. Strong and dedicated leadership demonstrated by all staff. Great garden, some noise from traffic.

Best kept secret we found by accident. Great room, service and accessibility. Food was better than in Rome. Twenty minutes to port. People are very polite and really do speak English. Reasonable rates!!

The hotel is located close to town, but it is a steep, uphill walk, so better to drive. Our room was nice, with a minibar, but no free water, and no tea or coffee making supplies. There was a little seating area in the room with sofa, chair and coffee table. The bathroom has a rain shower and heated towel...

We spent 3 nights at this hotel before our cruise, we chose this hotel for its proximity to the cruise port. We wanted a few days of relaxation and sunshine before the cruise and we had both. We were collected from the airport by the hotel and then dropped to the cruise terminal by the hotel's mini-bus. We were given...

At the foot of the ancient town of Tarquinia, about an hour out of Rome, in the middle of a modern residential area. A purpose built modern building. Even though the kitchen was closing at 10.15 at night, they were happy to rustle up a salad for us. The staff are friendly and very helpful The room was clean and...

Hotel makes up for its rather soulless location on a busy road by being spotlessly clean, staffed by kind people (superb young waiter in the restaurant: knowledgeable and attentive) and convenient for the town. We ate twice in the restaurant in the evening: excellent food. Pool is lovely, even if the road is cleverly disguised on the other side of...

This hotel is run by a family and they make your stay as comfortable as it could be. Nearby they have a beach club. It is a wonderful way to spend time at the beach in comfort. At both facilities the food was very good. You are also in a good position to visit some other interesting towns. I would...
