Also, if you are in the area, I recommend a visit to Monopoli. It's a beautiful small town on the coast. We stayed there for one week and then went to the Trullo Isago. We swam in the Adriatic Sea every day in Monopoli and stayed in the historic old town. It was wonderful.
Locorotondo is also a beautiful historic town - wonderful place to visit, as is Martina Franca.
