The bedroom was spacious, firm mattress with a soft topper and plenty of pillows. Tea/coffee in the room, TV, and air conditioning. Bathroom had a good strong and hot shower, heated towel rail, hairdryer.
My room was on the top floor with two Velux windows overlooking the road and the railway; I didn’t find the ambient noise at all intrusive and slept like a log. Rooms off the opposite side of the corridor overlooked the back gardens of a quiet residential street.
I wasn’t sure if I’d want breakfast but ended up having it all three days - simple continental buffet of fresh croissants, home made cakes and jams, yogurts, cold meats, local Munster cheese. Delicious.
The small bar/restaurant is open by reservation only, dinner bookings need to be made by 7pm. The menu was small but perfectly acceptable, and focused on simple Alsatian dishes. I ate here on my first night, but chose to eat at lunchtime on other days.
The whole hotel was recently decorated and spotlessly clean. There was plenty of free, secure parking. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, in particular the guy on Reception in the evenings and Nathalie the owner who kept the croissants topped up at Breakfast and wished us a safe journey when we checked out.
comfortable room with very good bed; good and clean bathroom
however non-functional lighting to the left of the bed, and the television did not work (advertisement of several channels on hotel guide / only 5 work correctly: problem with reception cabling
simplistic restaurant for evening dinner and simple quality
only breakfast is ok, and the morning shift team is professional

Breakfast buffet very well stocked.
The parking lot is closed and on the Pension grounds. Great memory.
The room is spacious, clean with a 90 cm x 60 cm shower.
The breakfast is copious, salty and sweet. The homemade cookies are delicious.
Finally, the restaurant allows you to dine in a warm atmosphere (with candles) and the service is friendly.

We slept very badly with trains passing all the time and the room was really stuffy because we couldn't have the window open because of the noise not only from the trains but traffic too. It was one of the worst night's sleep I've had for a long time.
We were then met with Godzilla the next morning. What a contrast from the lovely and pleasant black girl working the previous evening. She was absolutely vile. It is a well known fact at the minute that we need to take precautions because of covid but she followed me around the restaurant whilst trying to get breakfast telling me to use the lotion and watching everything I was doing as though I was some sort of criminal. I then asked her to keep her distance of at least a metre of which she refused to do.
I have since e mailed and messaged the hotel asking to speak with the proprietor however having looked at the overview more thoroughly now, it appears this older, aggressive, vile woman is the owner so I'm not expecting anyone to get back to me. I've now realised also using booking.com do not leave bad reviews because of the interest they receive from these booking so I will not be using them anymore.
I also really feel for the young black girl who was working the evening we arrived as this owner is obviously taking the Mickey out of her expecting her to work on her own whilst there were two of them in the morning.
In addition to this, the toilet handle was broken and the shower was a trickle which kept spraying everywhere other than where it should have.
KEEP AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
The staff was nice and the lobby was clean.
It was nearly 10PM when we checked in, tired and hungry. The restaurant had just closed, but the manager reopened it for us and cooked us an excellent dinner (delicious steak). I thought that was going above and beyond. Breakfast was standard, but good.
Close to the motorway, quiet little French village; a good place to stay while traveling. I would definitely stay here again. Excellent staff.
"Nice room overall - enough space and commodities, many TV channels. Good internet access."Read full review
