It was the first time that I went on a safari to this amazing place with a breathtaking view. The Esiweni lodge, on top of a cliff over the Sunday river, is just wonderful with amazing food and service. We went on several game drives and each of them was a new experience as the Nambiti Reserve offers a large...

Esiweni is a beautiful small lodge in a stunning location. It is owned by a french couple, who are delightful and very helpful. We spent Christmas there, and much enjoyed it. The game drives were good and excellent for people who have never been to South Africa before, as one almost always sees 4 of the big 5, which is...

On the positive side : Beautiful location and lodge .Scenery from the lodge is breath taking and the rooms are georgious. The games drives are also beautiful with very good chances of spotting the big 5 considering the richness of the game reserve. Very good massages in the rooms. What needs to be improved : Despite the attention of the...

I went on a weeklong vacation with my extended family, including my 80 year old grandmother. Our stay was quite simply perfect. The lodge is beautifully decorated with fabulous views everywhere you look, the staff could not be more attentive and the food comparable with any excellent Parisian restaurant. I am gluten intolerant and this was catered for at every...

We were so lucky to stay at Esiweni at the end of July for a long weekend. Everything was perfect from the moment we were picked up at the park gates until we left. We arrived at night and we were welcomed by our guide who led us to the nearby parking where your car will remain for the length...

Every aspect of our stay (4days) was top level! Location: the reserve offers not only great wildlife but also magnificent - and various - sceneries, which is even more rare; the lodge itself offers exceptional views as it overlooks a river. Hotel/rooms: luxury combination of comfort and style Food: probably the most surprising point, abundant, quite sophiticated and absolutely delicious!...

We found heaven in South Africa at Esiweni Lodge. Sophie and the team were all lined up to greet us as drove into the stunning Esiweni lodge to welcome us with a refreshing glass of champagne, which was setting up the tone for a fabulous stay. The lodge sits on a top of a cliff overlooking a river where we...

Sophie and Ludovic left the Parisian rat race in 2014 to become the new owners of the Esiweni Lodge. They turned the neglected lodge into a top end eclectic getaway in the serenity of the Nambiti game reserve. With only 5 rooms, the service is highly personalised and of high standard with relentless attention to details. Rooms are very spacious...
