This hotel is very attractive as you drive up to it and the reception area and restaurant modern, clean and well designed. We were warmly greeted at Reception and were looked after well after arriving quite late due to my Partners Father being in hospital. They kindly served us some soup and sandwiches as we'd missed the meal and we...

We have never stayed at this hotel previously but wanted to book the New Years Eve package which consisted of one nights accommodation, 5 course meal, disco, fireworks & hotdogs. The hotel certainly looked impressive as we pulled into the car park, very well maintained including gardens etc. We were greeted by a lovely lady (sorry I didn't catch her...

Good points. Nice interior, rooms clean tidy. Excellent dinner. Bad points. Although the waiting on staff were polite some had a very poor command of English. Making it difficult to ask for anything. The entertainment, we were told started at 8.30pm. We looked in at 9pm. not a soul in there, just music from an unmanned disco. By 9.45pm a...

Advertising hotel as a Spa hotel, though this has not been there for some time. Arrived to be told that the bar and restaurant were closed due to a private party. Did not care at all and the receptionist was the rudest I have ever come across. Manager offered to open restaurant for us but at this point we had...

We stayed for two nights 7th to 9th December. Twin room on the ground floor. Lovely clean modern bedroom and very nice bathroom. View of trees and front garden. Had an amazingly good meal in the restaurant, i had chicken liver pate with nice onion relish and dressed green salad, hubby had prawn cocktail which he said tasted like prawns...

Hotel has had some investment in front of house and some rooms over last 2 years, but at the back, and from the room, needs total uplift. Pipes and hoses in full sight over roofs are not the most attractive thing to wake up to. Bed and room very comfortable, as was bathroom and shower. Good food and service, and...

Attending an event locally so booked in here. Nice hotel in nice gardens along a very pleasant main street. Woodall spa is a very pretty village. Room nice and clean and comfy and staff pleasant. Could do with a lift to first floor. Hotel itself does need a bit of updating. The windows are metal and very old and worryingly,...

Stayed over here for a friends wedding. Room was on the ground floor and had a horrible smell, like the drains were backed up. If you are vegetarian please avoid!!!! I was given what was supposed to be a vegetarian lasagne, after my first bite it was quite clear there was minced beef in it. When complaining I got accused...

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Lovely drive up to the hotel, ample car parking space, lovely spacious patio area, attractive reception area and modern dining room and bar. A great welcoming entrance but sadly that's where it ends. It's like a hotel of two halves. The second half is dated, dirty looking and in need of an uplift....
