I don't know how Caroline ("the Boss" and hostess) and Vincent (her busband and fabulous chef) do it but each time we visit Mas des Vertes Rives, it just gets better. This was our third visit, so we almost feel like we're visiting family. We tell all our friends who are going to Provence (and some who live there) that...

We just love Mas des Vertes Rives. Caroline is an amazing hostess and Vincent is a fantastic chef. We have stayed here twice and recommend it often to our friends. The rooms are spacious and quiet and we love the country setting. Caroline is an excellent guide to all the sights in the area. All of the delicious vegetables and...

I had a room facing the farm so I watched the pheasants (or were they geese) clucking by my window. The food was excellent. While some mentioned they didn't enjoy sitting at the table together with the other guests, I was fortunate enough to have a great dining experience with other travellers. It probably helped that I spoke french. Breakfast...

We stayed for 3 nights, and ate meals on 2 nights. With a lot of French guests, and real home French cooking, I feel this place provides an interesting insight in Provencal life. However, as a place to stay, it is not without its flaws. It has very unreliable wifi, when we arrived we were not given towels (and when...

This is a lovely Provence farmhouse B&B with caring and passionate hosts. The grounds are very nice, and the rooms are basic, quaint, and clean. There's no AC, but they do have free Wifi, although the entire feel of the place is that you de-prioritize your electronics (especially taboo during meals) and take in the communal company of the guests...

Vincent and Caroline were the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble. They were always on hand to offer advice on places to visit. Breakfast on the patio was always a pleasure and Carolines home made marmalades and fruit juices were a delight to savour. Sitting outside enjoying wonderful provincial food prepared by Vincent and chatting with other guests in...

Top marks. Hosts Caroline & Vincent were welcoming and helpful. We decided on "demi-pension" as it is a rural location and so we ate our evening meals here as well as breakfast. Our meals were simply perfect. The home is beautiful and has a wonderful covered courtyard where you can relax and read and have a wine. There are also...

Unlike most restaurants in France where the kitchen closes at 9 p.m., we arrived at close to 10 p.m. to find plenty of people still sitting outside enjoying their dinner (it was a warm evening) . We were met with a big smile by Carole who said we must be starving and sat us down to a delicious meal. (By...

If you want to get away from all those very twee establishments catering to bobos and experience a real country feel with good home cooking from produce off the farm - this is it. Lovely courtyard looking out onto those geese destined for the table. The cockerel will sound the morning call to breakfast - or perhaps the donkey. Vincent...
