This chateau is a wonderful place to unwind in a luxurious laid back way. The rooms are all decorated impeccably and are all very different. Although some have found the service indifferent, we never have and my family has stayed there five times. In fact, we have felt extremely welcome and well looked after!

France is not famous for the quality of the service, Chateau de Massillan is no exception. The surrounding area is not memorable, but the venue is nice, offering you anything you would expect from a chateau in the South of France. Unfortunately, the quality of the service will ruin your stay, as it happened to me during the weekend I... More

We stayed here having booked out the venue exclusively for 2 days over a weekend to celebrate our wedding. We appreciated the efforts of the receptionist Celia and the F&B staff who went the extra mile for us. Unfortunately we can only echo the sentiments of previous reviewers about the management's attitude. We experienced a severe problem during our wedding... More

I'm afraid this venue can not be recommended for those with children under 10 as management are rather disapproving of even exceptionally well behaved youngsters. An otherwise pretty venue (although the newer wings are not architecturally sympathetic). If you do stay be sure to have a walk through the impressive walled vegetable garden.

My husband and I had a wonderful couple of days staying at Chateau de Massillan. The entrance and grounds are enchanting and when walking around them, it felt as though we had the place to ourselves. The room was very nice, albeit quite small but the bathroom, which was in a turret, was beautiful and rustic- absolutely lovely. We were... More

This hotel has changed dramitaclly since being taken over by a chain. It is not longer the exclusive retreat it still advertises itself to be. The setting and rooms are still lovely but the service is not longer the same and the front of house staff are rude and unhelpful.

Stayed at this property for 3 nights. The surroundings are out of this world, with beautiful park and lake around the property like in a fairytale. When we came there was a wedding that weekend and the guests were departing-even gave us a cake :) Pool area is amazing with a lot of sunbeds and shades to enjoy through out... More

We enjoyed very much our stay in this chateau which puts efforts on sustainability and bio products. Our room was very large and we had a nice balcony to spend some evenings in nature with great sounds. The room itself was very quiet and the beds extremely good. The restaurant was very good too and the breakfast had a nice... More

We could not possibly have enjoyed our stay more... we were greeted warmly and shown to a beautiful room looking out over the pond; luxurious bathroom and amenities, clean, and comfortable. The Chateau is very tranquil and we enjoyed many hours by the pool and walking around the grounds. Don't miss the vegetable garden and hen house! And dinner at... More

We occupied the hotel with a group last month. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The garden and swimming pool are great. The hotel is located in a nice parc. Breakfast and restaurant were OK'ish. We enjoyed our stay. Rooms in the chateau are recommended.
