My mother and I had a wonderful stay here in October for 5 nights. Our room was very comfortable with an en suite bathroom and we started each day with a lovely breakfast. The location was centrally located for sightseeing. Monique was a very gracious hostess and was able to get us some rose wine from her neighbor, made us...

This is definitely the nicest B&B that we have ever stayed at in France. We stayed for 1 week with friends (we had the Syrah suite and they were in Muscat). The charming, beautifully restored farmhouse is immaculate inside and out and has every comfort, but the best aspect is the warm, wonderful guest hosting by Monique and Chris. We...

We spent 6 fantastic days in Provence and enjoyed it immensely. Scenery, wines and food were superb but topped off by the wonderful hospitality shown by Monique and Chris. Great breakfasts (the homemade quiche was yummy), the heated pool, private and beautiful gardens and Monique was always ready to help with suggestions for restaurants and sights. We will be going...

This has to be one of the best chambre d'hote we have stayed in in over 15 yrs of traveling to France. Monique and Chris are wonderful hosts. The property is exquisitely decorated with beautiful gardens and inviting pool . Our room was delightful with a beautiful view to Mount Ventoux and gardens. Every morning breakfast was absolutely fabulous and...

After a long twenty one day transatlantic cruise, a train ride from Barcelona to Nimes and over a week in various towns of Provence, my wife and I were getting pretty tired of travel. We recalled having spent a week at Le Mas au Portail Bleu a few years ago and how delightful and relaxing it had been. A quick...

There are some things that you just can't infer from photographs. Monique and Chris have made Le Mas au Portail Bleu not only a lovely place for travelers to experience Provence, but their engaging personalities are the real joy of a stay with them. They are multi-lingual, and their senses of humor span many cultures. Monique is glad to suggest...

This is probably the best accommodation we have ever used. The hosts Monique & Chris are so friendly and really can't do enough for you. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and spotless. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. There is also a small kitchen visitors can use which is a real boon, especially when travelling with children.

We just came back from our trip to the South of France. We booked two nights at Le Mas au Portal Bleu, which was recommended by close friends from Switzerland. From the first moment we contacted Monique we knew it would be a fantastic experience. We drove up from Marseille because we wanted to drive through vineyards and small towns...

We adored the little house with the blue door and it's owner, our host, Monique. Le Mas au Portail Bleu is cosy and intimate, while at the same time offering privacy when preferred. We stayed in a slightly smaller room, "Grenache" which is not advertised on the website but available on request or when other rooms book out. It's a...

“Grenache room is a little cheaper. A tip if your luggage is heavy - the room is at the top of a narrow spiral stairwell. We left our suitcases downstairs instead of lugging them up. There is a small downstairs area under the room which you can lock.”
