Charming hotel in perfect location with beautiful views of the area. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast abundant and good quality with very friendly service. The restaurant was a disappointment: average meal with less than average service, really surprising for Italy and huge contrast with breakfast, not to mention outstanding restaurants in town. Strongly advise to venture out to one... More

Check in was smooth and relaxed. The staff speak great English We had a ground floor room with access to a small terrace. It was comfortable, looking out onto the rear lawn, swimming pool area and car park beyond. The bathroom was well fitted with high quality fittings and a powerful walk in shower Room service was prompt and reliable.... More

Lovely hotel in a renovated ancient monastery, right in the old town of Cherasco. Extremely quiet. Nice rooms with marble-tiled bathrooms. Excellent breakfast served in a charming vaulted cellar. Small swimming pool in the garden. Service is superb; reception people handled our luggage from the secured private parking place and took care of all our needs with a smile. Great... More

The Good: Beautiful old monastery. The grounds are well-maintained. The staff was helpful with ideas for what to do in the area. Very conveniently located to the old town of Cherasco, which is an under-related city! The Bad: Italian wedding taking place in the restaurant, directly below our room. Given that this is an old monastery, it wasn't exactly built... More

Much better than we'd anticipated and an excellent place to stay when visiting the Piedmont. Excellent and safe parking, wonderful breakfast, gorgeous view. Restaurant for dinner is a bit pricey and perhaps a bit pretentious. We'll certainly stay there again for the convenience and throughly adequate accommodations. We prefer smaller towns like Cherasco to nearby Bra, or Alba or Asti.

We spent 5 nights at Somaschi in Cherasco. The hotel was in my view ok for an Italian hotel. As always the beds are poor, they are hard. The service was ok. Although we had to ask for TP all the time. The breakfast in Italy is not like swedish standard. So that is also something they need to work... More

I am astonished by the latest review of this hotel...we have the complete and opposite opinion of this hotel. We were a family of three staying at the hotel for 5 nights. The staff was extremely friendly and service minded, and helped us a lot during our stay. Their English is good (we don't speak Italian). Same goes for the... More

We entered this hotel on a business trip. It seems to be an old Monastery, wonderful location with a good breakfast and fast Internet connection. Spacey and luxury rooms. Definitely a high recommendation to stay there when you are around..

This a very comfortable if a bit old fashioned hotel. Has a small pool and a nice garden at the back. Breakfast was uninspiring and the staff were few. I would stay again because of it's charm as a former monestary.
