The wall to wall carpets in the bathrooms get wet and never dry this means that there's always a musty smell in the rooms. The bathtub was not cleaned. The fridge was not clean and had a weird smell. There's a door in the room separating the rooms; I could hear everything that was being said next door. Meaning I could not relax and enjoy quite/down time. The linen was not clean; I found a dried up bloody booger in the bed, by the pillows, in between the sheets. I requested clean linen and I was told there was none available (shocking). I was moved to a different room, closer to the gate; I could not sleep, the noise from the trucks on the main road kept me up all night. The food took forever to arrive; I waited 1 hour for two boiled eggs. The desert (pudding) was stale; seemed to have been prepared the day before, but even then we waited hours to receive it, STALE. The worst incident was when one of the waitresses was paid to get me to talk to some strange men at the restaurant. I believe she also shared my room number with the strange men, because when she came to speak to me, she first confirmed my room number; then ask me to follow her to the front desk where the strange men were waiting to speak to me. They had initially propositioned me while I was with my colleagues and I expressed disinterest; so they tricked me into speaking to them in private by using the waitress. The fact that she agreed to that upset me. I did not feel safe at this lodge. The waiters/waitresses should not be accepting money from strangers to give out information about their guests. I did not enjoy my stay at all. I would not recommend it to anyone.…
Very friendly service clean rooms and great food quirky decor and art gallery in the restaurant .clean gardens and check in was quick and easy .large rooms with very comfy big bed .slept like a baby with a full tummy cosy and snug
The room (GOGO 1) was not the best and it was cold. No aircon/ heater in the room. For warmth you have to switch on the electrical blanket. There were cob webs on the wall and the waitress at the restaurant had to clean that for me. The restaurant however was quite nice.
1. Place does not accommodation persons living with disability as required by building standards. 2. not adhering to hygiene standards ( Food has hairs) 3. Rooms without Wifi 4. Beds mattress are not comfortable (Old) 5. Complains about all above are not taken serious, and given attitude
I stayed over for one night as a stop over From St Lucia to JHB. Reception was friendly and supper was good. Our experience however was spoiled when a group of people had a party next to our room. The noise continued through out the night making sleep impossible. Despite multiple phone calls to management nothing was done. I can’t understand how an four star establishment allows for this behavior. No attempt was made to rectify the problem. I would not recommend a stay at this establishment
