This site has rather tight pitches with limited screening between them, for us this felt an too snug . The facilities were clean but basic and all housed in one building (which seemed strange to us). The site is on the lake and the brilliant cycle path : with a 16km cycle into Annecy. Annecy is a beautiful town, we...

We have recently started camping again after a 12 year break. Chose Le Solitaire from previous reviews. I our view it ticked all boxes for us and our two dogs. Staff: pleasant to deal with. Friendly. Accommodating and very helpful. Site amenities: always cleaned first thing. Always hot water. Pitches: vary in size, but could get our 7.5m motorhome across...

We stayed at this site for 1 week in August. It was very busy and the pitches are very close together but there is plenty of shade. The showers and toilets were kept clean, we never had to queue as there are plenty of them. They were unisex though, which wasn't a problem for us. There is a cycle track...

We are just home from a 3 week camping trip in France and Germany. Our first week was spent on this campsite - my husband and I and our 3 children (8, 10 and 11), in our large family tent. This is our 5th time in Anncey and the third campsite we have stayed on. We just loved the location...

As a family of four with two children aged 11 years and 8 months we absolutely loved this site. I love Annecy so to be quite honest staying at any of the campsites would be just fine for me. The location for this campsite is just great with only a 10 minute cycle to the supermarket and 25 minute cycle...

Touring on my motorbike I decided I'd had just about enough for the day around Albertsville and typed 'Camping' into google maps I saw there were many campsites in Saint-Jorioz so headed there. As I drove into the area I passed a few campsites on the main road which all looked a bit big and 'developed' for my liking so...

We only stayed one night. We arrived late. Our preference was to be closer to town so we wouldn't have to take our car into town. While a beautiful setting, it is not within walking distance of town, but the bike path is nearby. Most of the other campers had caravans. We were tent camping and the space seemed a...

This is my second review for this campsite. My first review was stayed off season in a chalet, this time we visited in high season with our caravan so thought it was worth reviewing again. First the pitches, they are big, not huge but we managed to park a 23 foot caravan with an awning, a mini bus, two kayaks,...

The site is medium sized with pitches marked by lovely trees at all four corners. The pitches themselves are not huge and there is little room between you and your neighbours, but they are big enough. There is one block of loos, showers, washing space etc which is enough for the size of site and kept very clean. The biggest...

“I would choose a pitch towards the games field/lake, as it's slightly further away from the facilities block. We had pitch 72, which in my opinion was pretty perfect - right in the middle of the site.”

“I would personally choose a pitch towards the bottom end of the campsite nearer the lake. The nearer you are to the entrance and the facilities block, the more people are going up and down past you. Also, we didn't notice at the time but we managed to pitch our tent directly by a lamp post so it was very bright in the tent at night. It does however mean that the site is sell lit at night should you need to wander up to the facilities.”
