This was our second visit.
Friendly service, Good Rooms, Excellent Location, Good View, Clean Toilets and Quality Food. Simply superb. It is loacted near Badrinath ..about an hour drive.. a very convenient night-halt for trip to Badrinath, Hemkund Sahib or Valey of Flower.
Hardly any distance from Auli.
The manager and room-service incharge was extreemly helpful.

Our tour from Rishikesh to Badrinath and we stay at Dronagiri. Here we see that this is a very wondorfull hotel for stay . The staff of this hotel is so sweet and very helpful for all there guest and the food quality of this hotel is very pure and so fresh food and the room service is very nice for all time . Our all day's tention and every types of problems has gone after coming here so according to me and my family this is a very fabulous place for all types of person .

I visited in january 2012. Hotel room was good considering the remote location. Heating in the hotel was vastly inadequate and the hotel do not look to be equiped for winter. Considering temperature may fall as lo as -7 deg C in winter hotel needs much better room heating system for comfortable stay. Also note no credit card is accepted but ATM is nearby. Hotel is also looks to be money minded as e always got better deal by booking vehicle from outside taxi stand as the difference between rates offered by hotel and local taxi stand was 1000 to 2000 rupees for different distances. Food choice was limited and hotel staff was not willing to do any extra effort to make the stay more memorable. overall only a so so place and only consider if no other choice is available.

Due to a landslide on our way to Rudraprayag, we decided to stay at Joshimath, Hotel Dronagiri. Nice facilities. Clean rooms (ours had a balcony),clean linen, 24 hrs hot/cold water, TV and parking facilitie.s The staff are caring. I was really sick with 'flu but the staff were attentive and provided me constantly with the things I asked for - hot water bags, thermos flasks with hot water etc. Great food. Simple yet tasty. We had ordered for tea and parathas for breakky and rajmah-chawal for lunch.The room service is on time, the staff are polite - overall, a good choice of hotel. It's easily accessible to everything. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay at a good hotel in Joshimath. Mrs Leena Sheth

i know very well that this hotel is a perfect place to enjoy your journey and yatra. i visited in dec 2010
we had booked chardam camp ,which was near to this hotel through travel agent.
on seeing the camp we would have frozen if we stayed there at -13 degree temp.
By gods grace we got a room in Dronagiri who helped us with 2 room heaters. people were too kind & caring.staff provided the things we needed to tolarate severe cold.
They realy saved us.
it is near to Auli & i suggest all to stay here if visiting auli.

Location is very good - out of the town but yet so close that you can walk. The best thing about the hotel was the service and the food. Service was just excellent and the person at reception (Amit) helped get the rooms at a short notice. After checking in as well the room service was great and we never had a problem of being served late. Same continued for the food as well - tasty and on time. Thumbs up.

I stayed here with my family in May 2014 for one night as a stopover accommodation during our visit to Badrinath from Haridwar. The hotel is located at a strategical point with the view of the majestic Himalayas in front. We took two delux rooms on the first floor facing the road. Rooms were just adequate in size, with basic bathrooms. Hot water supply was irregular and inadequate at times, but it did not pose any serious problems for us. Restaurant was average and served homely food, which was probably due to the fact that many rooms of this hotel was contractually provided for accommodation to officers and their families who worked in companies at Joshimath. Thus those families stayed here like rented flats and this factor brought a homely atmosphere to the hotel. The views of the Himalayas from the hotel was spectacular during the morning, with snow-clad peaks in front of our eyes. Do not expect much luxury or services at this hotel, but however it is ideal for a over-night stopover with fresh, homely foods. We, in fact, stopped at this hotel for taking lunch during our return from Badrinath towards Rudraprayag. Decent stay.....nothing much to complain, may be recommended to intending visitors provided you are just looking for a comfortable accommodation wuthout much luxury.

Thoughts:
- Its a good hotel to stay in Joshimath
- Its a fair bit costly but the average place in Joshimath is a dump, frankly (except GMVN)
- You can bargain a bit if you land up very late and are leaving the next day - like any pvt hotel!
- Room service is on time (we got tea and paranthas on time)
- The parking is awesome and is off-road unlike most hotels there
- The rooms are a bit old (carpet). They lack TV and a heater (atleast in mid Aug 2011)
- Its a good hotel to stay in Joshimath

Hotel location is good, rooms are clean, air conditioned rooms for both cooling and heating, although Bathrooms can be better and hotel staff specially waiters needs to be more friendly. First it seemed it has less hotel staff(seemed like common problem in Joshimath from other places i visited there) and that also running away from work. In my case waiter just got one luggage from room when we were leaving and leaving everything i.e. 4 bags else for us to carry. And hotel needs to be more lively, looks pretty dull especially it has good potential being the biggest in Joshimath. But overall not bad looking at Joshimath location.
