What a great place! Jan and Doug are great hosts - nothing is too much trouble. Felt very comfortable and breakfast is a treat - there is so much choice and everything was fresh and locally sourced - some of it from their own allotments! The little touches in the room were much appreciated. Great location and a beautiful area.

We had a one night stay at Peartree on New Year's Eve and it was excellent. Jan & Doug were most welcoming and our room was spacious and comfortable with a kings size bed we are used to at home. Breakfast was delicious with fresh ingredients. We appreciated the later breakfast New Years morning! We will definitely be recommending this...

Jan and Doug Nixon have created a lovely guesthouse, and they clearly take pride in making their guests feel welcome and comfortable. The room was beautifully appointed. Chef Doug did a wonderful job with a rich selection for breakfast, and they were both very enthusiastic in guiding us to make a great choice for dinner at the Black Bull. We'd...

This is a super b&b! It was the first of our places booked as part of a walk along Hadrian's Wall and it didn't disappoint. We arrived wet and bedraggled and were warmly greeted by Jan with fresh milk and mineral water to enjoy with a nice selection of biscuits and somewhere to dry our boots and clothes. We ate...

We had planned to stay in Hexham but, three months in advance, evrything we tried was fully booked. Instead we had a delightful night in Corbridge. We rang beforehand to check on the exact location and this paid off as we then had no trouble finding our way. Slightly out of the town, so that bit quieter, it's also well...

My granddaughter and I started our walk along Hadrian's Wall here. Jan and her husband were so helpful, kind and welcoming - our train was late and they met us at the station. The room was spotless and comfortable and the breakfast excellent . There was a 10% discount on supper at the Black Bull too. Highly recomended!!
