Looking for an evening meal in Corbridge we found the Golden Lion. The dining area has a nice ambiance with well spaced tables. There is plenty of choice on the menu and smaller portions are available on some dishes. Our food was tasty, well presented, generous portions, well prepared and served hot. The service was excellent with friendly attentive staff...

Called in a couple of times over the past week. Really nice "honest" pub. Dogs are welcome in the Bar area, so we were able to have something to eat and drink after a good walk. The Golden Lion ale is a lovely drink and would have been happy to drink it through out the day (if i hadn't have...

I'll put my hands up straight away, we didn't stay here and we didn't eat here either. So why the review ? To be honest, we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes by a very nice lady with blonde hair on Saturday lunchtime as soon as we walked through the door. We had a excellent Pint of Theakstons Peculiar...

Welcoming staff, prompt service and lovely food. Nicest chips and onion rings I've had for a long time. We don't live local to Corbridge but we will definitely make the effort to go again as soon as we can.

We ended up here be chance late on a Sunday afternoon. When we arrived we were greeted and shown to the dining area. As we had arrived late we didn't expect to get Sunday lunch but to our surprise they had some spare. We were not disappointed! The portions were very generous and the food delicious. We also decided to...
